Aftermath..

Amy was in her house preparing a basket, filled with snacks to hang out with her friends. Inside she sneaked in a little gift for Sonic. "Oh, I hope that he accepts it.." She thought, as she grabbed her keys and headed off.

While walking, she admired the forest, nature, what she loved most. Some birdies flew past her, one landing in her hand and tweeting. "Oh, birdie! Today is the day!! I hope it goes well, wish me luck, will you?" She asked the birdie. The pink birdie nodded and spread its wings to flap and fly away, and Amy kept walking down her path.

Tails was in his workshop, peacefully building new tech to his advantage, but all of that peace was rudely interrupted by Sonic speeding in, over to his side. Sonic inspected Tails' new tech. It looked like some sort of tracker.. of course it wasn't finish so he couldn't just assume that. He decided to ask instead.

"Heyy, Tails! Bud!" He started of with, but Tails, obviously, caught up. "What do you want Sonic?" He quickly ask, interrupting the hedgehog. Sonic rolled his eyes in defeat, but he didn't complain either. "What's that?" He asked, pointing to Tails new tech. For some reason, the fox stayed quiet and put away the tech. "Any other questions?" He asked Sonic, again.

The hedgehog was about to ask something, but he was also interrupted by Rouge. "Are.. you two done and heading over to the beach? Amy and Knuckles are waiting." The bat reminded them both. "Oh, shoot! That's right!! I'll be there in a jiffy!!" And like that, he ran out of Tails' lab.

Tails looked at Rouge and asked something else. "Sonic left the door open right?" Rouge chuckled in response. Both knew Sonic quite well. Pretty obvious he left the door open again. Tails got up in the air, using his two tails to fly, while Rouge followed behind, also flying, with her bat wings.

The two arrived together and Sonic was talking with Knuckles while Amy was feeding some birds. The day was sunny and it wasn't too hot either. Perfect to relax!

Tails went over to Knuckles and Sonic while Rouge hanged upside down from a tree branch enjoying the view and shade. Amy finally finished feeding the birdies and put the basket beside the palms tree, taking out her gift for Sonic. She went over to the primary colour trio and cleared her throat before speaking, catching their attention.

"Hi, boys.. I was wondering if i could talk to Sonic.. Alone?.." Tails and Knuckles looked at each other. Both were thinking the same thing. "𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙗𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨.." However, Sonic, was still oblivious as ever. Tails sighed and walked off, Knuckles following behind. The two went over to the basket and got out two sandwiches, one for each.

Sonic looked at Amy with his normal smile, and Amy just took a deep breath, looked away and showed Sonic the gift. Of course, Sonic wasn't surprise he got yet another gift from her, but he was quite confused on why Amy had to look away, of why her cheeks her red-ish.

He was about to take the gift in his hands, but his ears twitch hearing a pair of familiar air shoes from the distant. He looked over to the direction of Hedgehogs Pass and smiled some more. He then looked at Amy. "Sorry Amy, but i have to go!" He told her. The other three heard him and wondered why he was in such a hurry right now. Amy was quite disappointed. "B-..But Sonic!-" Amy tried speaking by Sonic quickly interrupted her. "I promise I'll be back in a flash! I got to thank Shadow!!" And like that, he left them, quickly running away.

Amy, Knuckles and Tails were left flabbergasted. "Thank Shadow?!" Knuckles exclaimed. "Why!? Aren't those two like.. enemies?!" Amy asked. "Rivals, actually." Tails corrected her. Rouge just stayed hanging upside down from the branch. She now had suspicions. Sonic wasn't the type to thank Shadow, usually he would blame him for always being late..

Amy quickly back up over to the palm tree and sat down, quite disappointed as she looked at the gift she had prepared for Sonic. She held the small box as she opened it, revealing a paper ring, with a note that said; "𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺?". She was caught off guard when she look over to her side, seeing Tails, who was looking at the gift. she squeaked a bit and quickly closed the box.

"So, my suspicions were right! You were planning on asking Sonic to-" Tails was interrupted by Amy, who covered his mouth. "Keep it quiet will you? No one else knows.." She then uncovered his mouth and let him speak. "It's not like it wasn't obvious." The fox stated, as Amy just looked away, somewhat covering her face. She calmed down again and looked at Tails, now with teary eyes. Tails was surprised and frowned at the sight of his friend. He didn't like seeing his friends sad. "Hey, it's okay.. You know how Sonic is.." Tails tried to comfort her, but the pink hedgehog grew angry. "Well, when will Sonic ever learn that some of his actions hurt his closest.." And like that, she got up and left to go to her house.

Tails stayed there, sad to see his friend so upset, but he couldn't be mad at Sonic, his brother figure. It was hard for him to be mad at all. Knuckled and Rouge walked over to the saddened fox, confused about the situation. "You okay Tails?" Rouge asked bluntly. "Yea, I just hate having to pick sides.." Tails answered, and it was true, he hated having to pick sides between his friends. "Yea, but it'll probably be fixed quickly! Amy is very forgiving" Knuckles informed, and he was also right. Amy was a very forgiving soul, this surely would be quick.

Tails smiled, and Knuckles and Rouge sat down to eat, waiting for Sonic to come back..
