Aftermath..

𝙒𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙪𝙥..

Sonic ran over to were his friends were, back at the beach, near the palm tree. He only saw Knuckles, Tails and Rouge near the tree, all eating together. He didn't see Amy, and he didn't know how to feel about that. On one hand, he was glad she wasn't there to bother him, cling onto him, but on the other hand, he was worried he might have upsetted her, and that would mean he upsetted two people in one day. He hoped he didn't.

He ran over to them, but the second he got there, an earthquake hit. He stopped running, finding his balance. He looked around to see his friends not reacting to the earthquake, they just sat there as they looked like holograms. "Wait, holograms?" Sonic asked himself. They looked like the ghost versions if them when he and Shadow visited Ghost Hills. Suddenly, the world around him started to collapse and crumble, slowly turning into the shatterverse.

He panicked, as he saw all of this happen once again. "No, no no no.." He turned around to run away and find Shadow, but he met himself with Nine. "Nine! Oh thank Chaos!" He said as he hugged him, but Nine only pushed him away. He noticed the portals on the sky, and Nine's anger. "My home was destroyed, thanks.. to YOU!" Nine prepared to attack, and Sonic sat there in shock. He could only cover his face with his arm like if that was going to block Nine's attack, but he soon felt a hand on his shoulder.

"𝙎𝙊𝙉𝙄𝘾!!"

The blue hedgehog sat up, sweating, looking around to see his friends alive, Tails in front of him, and his world back to normal, like if nothing even happened. He noticed Tails' sigh of relief, Knuckles looking at him worried, and Rouge was in thought. He felt his face wet, mostly on his muzzle. He cried? He brought his hand up to wipe his tears.

"Sonic, are you okay? You were mumbling and crying in your sleep.." Tails asked, then informed. Sonic still looked around, quite panicked. They all noticed his behavior but before anyone could say anything, he calmed down. "I'm okay! Don't worry!!" He lied to them, in order for them to calm down and forget about all of this.

Sonic yawned and got up, stretching. " Welp! I feel tired, maybe I should get going!" The echidna, fox and bat looked at each other and then at Sonic. " If you need to talk we are here to list-" Tails tried letting Sonic know they were there for him, but before he could even finish, Sonic ran off, heading towards his house.

Amy was in her yard, watering some pants. She was still quite upset about what happened, but she knew it was silly of her part. It's not like Sonic would ever mean to hurt others who he cares about. "𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬.. 𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵!" She stopped and put her watering can inside, grabbed the box where her gift for Sonic was in, and left her house, locking it up. She was about to walk over to the beach again, but she saw Sonic running off back to his house. She stood in place, thinking wether to actually go back to the beach, or follow Sonic. In the end, she decided to follow Sonic, as her goal was to give him the gift. She arrived to his house, his shack. She hesitated a bit before she knocked three times on his door..

While running, the blue hedgehog remembered that he still had the tech Nine gave him. "Maybe it'd be best if i just threw it away. It's not like I'll ever be able to see him again." He told himself while running. He quickly arrived to his shack and began to search for the tech. He was quite forgetful when hiding stuff, so he searched everywhere. He eventually found the tech in one of his drawers. He took all four out and was about to destroy them, but he gave it a second thought. Did he really want this? To get rid of it? No. He stayed a long while looking at them, remembering everything, more bad then good. The betrayel, the assumptions, all the fights, everything. He started to panic looking at the tech and got ready to throw it to the floor, but no matter how much he tried, he found it so hard to just destroy it. "𝘋*𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘖 𝘐𝘛." He thought as he was about to try again, but flinched and the tech almost slipped out of his hands when he heard a knock.

"Ugh, visiters.." He mumbled as he place the tech on the bed, walked over to the door and opened it, seeing Amy on the other side. "Sonic! Hi!!" Amy said, filled with excitment. Sonic didn't want to see her, not now, but he wasn't going to just tell her that, or close the door on her. "Amy!.. What brings you here?" He said, holding up a smile, one that was forced. Amy didn't say anything, she just placed the box on Sonic's hands. "Open it!" She said, desperate for Sonic to see.

Sonic was weirded out by how desperate she sounded, but, to get her out of his shack, and stop being clingy, he did open the box. He saw a paper ring and picked it up, confused. He then saw the note. He took it and unfolded it, reading the text. His face scrunched up a bit, and Amy noticed this, loosing hope. "I-I was hoping.. maybe we could.. go out on a date!.." She suggested, but Sonic did not like the thought of that. He took a deep breath and tried to find the correct words, because, after all, Amy wasn't just some stranger, she was his friend, one he fights Eggman with.

"Look.. Amy, the offer seems.. lovely!.." He almost gagged, still thinking about it, but he resisted. "And I'm sure you would be a wonderful partner.. really!.. Just.. not for me..." He confessed. Amy's ears lowered a bit, and her pupils were smaller. Sonic was upset, seeing her like this. "Look, please don't be upset.. but you aren't really my type at all.. I see you as a great friend!.. Maybe even a sister.." Sonic tried to say it as nice as possible, but he wasn't good with words when the situation was serious, like this.

Amy understood that he didn't want anything more then a friendship, so she said what Sonic needed to hear. "..I understand, it's alright, just please dont avoid me, or let this be awkward, alright?.." Sonic quickly calmed down after hearing those words. He nodded and tried giving Amy back the gift, but she insisted on him keeping it. "Think about it as a friendship ring!.." Now that idea, he liked. He smiled, and kept the ring. "You'll find the one soon!" He informed, and he was right. She was bound to find 𝐭𝐡𝐞 one.

Sonic closed the door and Amy left, still quite upset about the rejection. When she made sure no one was looking, she let the tears roll down her face. She really admired him, loved him. She wanted a future with him, but she had to accept that it wasn't meant to be.

From a far, Shadow had seen everything, even the tears of the bratty hedgehog. He didn't feel bad, since he didn't care about her at all, he was just there to see what Sonic was up to.

Sonic stayed inside his shack, and walk over to the bed. Soon enough, he started ro panic again. The tech wasn't where he left it. "Oh no." He started to search for the tech again, making a huge mess in the process, still, he didn't find it.

He was about start searching again, through all the mess, but he felt something off.. "Looking for this?" He heard a familiar voice say.
