Aftermath..

"Give it up Eggman! You'll never find the Paradox Prism again!" Sonic said as he spin dashed all the botniks in his way, to get to Eggman. 

Now, you might be wondering, How did this happened? We'll start from the beginning, right after Sonic and Rouge left Tails' lab..

Sonic left right after Rouge, and believe it or not, he was quite mad at her. Rouge flew over to him, seeing his mad expression. "Are you actually mad? It's just tech, and it's not like Tails' would break out trust." Rouge tried convincing Sonic. "Yes, point taken, but it wasn't even yours to take." Sonic argued. Rouge scoffed and started looking towards where she was going. "It's probably mot THAT valuable, plus it was shiny!" She assumed, which made Sonic mad. He ran up to her and blocked her way. "Hey?! What gives?!" She asked, now annoyed. She tried going around, but got blocked by Sonic again. "That tech is more important then my own life, you have to understand that. You know, I had a reason to not want to show it to anyone." He explained. "Oh yea? What's that reason then?" Rouge asked. Sonic looked troubled, unsure whether to tell her now or wait until it was the right time. "I.." He let out, but was interrupted by a crash. Both the bat and hedgehog looked towards the cause of the crash, and saw smoke coming from near the village. Both looked at each other and stopped fighting, now heading towards the smoke. 

In the scene, they saw Amy and Knuckles smashing botniks, and Eggman having those bots protect him while he searched for something. Sonic had a pretty good idea of what it was, and quickly spin dashed the bots. "Give it up Eggman! You'll never find the Paradox Prism again!"

And yea! that's where we left off.

Eggman ignored the hedgehog. "Imagine all the power I'll have once I get my hands on this prism!!" Eggman said as he continued searching for a strong energy. He found it strange, because he found two of them, one heading north, the other over to Tails' lab.

Amy was smashing bots with her harmer, helping Sonic to clear a way for him. This all felt too familiar for him. Before even running towards Eggman, he froze. He saw Thorn Rose for a split second. It was all coming back to him, all his sacrifices, all those betrayals. Eggman saw this as a well given opportunity and sent multiple bots towards Sonic to attack him. The other three saw this, but were too far away to help him. "Sonic, watch out!!" Amy exclaimed, warning him. Sonic snapped out of it but he was already surrounding. He just hoped for the best and tried blocking.

The next thing he knew, he was being carried away. He looked at the person who saved him, and was quite surprised. "Shadow?!" He yelled as he was brought to safety. "Don't thank me, just focus on destroying that tracker." Shadow dropped him and got in position to get ready and clear a path, and Sonic stood up, ready to fight.

The managed to steal the tracker and break it, prohibiting Eggman to ever find the prism. "Give it up, we won." Sonic taunted. Eggman just went back to the forest but stopped, hiding. He got out some notes, where he wrote down the coordinates of the closest prism energy, which was I'm tails' lab. "Not for long. We'll see who really won.."

Back in the field, Sonic was celebrating victory with the crew. "Hey, why don't we celebrate with a couple of chili dogs!!" Sonic offered. He was about to go running to get a whole plate for him and his friends, but he felt a hand on his shoulder, stopping him from leaving. "What the?-" He turned around to see that it was Shadow. Being honest, and that moment he felt strange. It was a feeling he didn't recognize. "Shadow, can you leave Sonic for at least a month?" Amy asked. 

Now, thinking about that, having shadow gone for a month, bummed Sonic down. He enjoyed it when Shadow challenged him. "I only need to talk to him about some.. concerns." Shadow explained. Before anyone could do or say anything, the red and black hedgehog glided away with sonic.

He was basically dragging Sonic, and Sonic was trying to balance himself to run alongside Shadow, but since he was being dragged, and Shadow's grip was tight, he couldn't. Now Shadow was annoyed by this. He was slowing them both down, and since he didn't trust the hedgehog.. He picked him up over his shoulder and continue his way. Sonic was quite surprised, and he felt his muzzle warm up. "Am I really sick right now?.." He thought to himself.

The two finally arrive over to.. "The forest?.." Sonic asked as he finally noticed his surroundings. "Yes, the forest. Emptiest place in Green Hill, perfect to talk about the prism." He started of with. Sonic choked on air at the mention of the prism. Shadow had no reaction, he just waited until Sonic stopped. Once he did, he just had to ask. "The prism is in this forest? It would have been better off n my house?!" Sonic fought, although this wasn't what Shadow wanted to talk about.

"Okay, one, the prism isn't here. I'm not as dumb as you try to make me seem. Two, no, it would be better in your house, I would much rather hide it here then with you." Shadow answered. "Ouch." Sonic said back. Shadow sighed at the joke and crossed his arms. "And three.. it's not why I brought you here." Shadow added, which caught Sonic's attention. "I sense that the tech Nine gave you  still has some prism energy.." Shadow said, going straight to the point, which left Sonic in shock.

"Woah, what do you mean?! Nine sucked all of that energy out of me a few days ago!!" Sonic argued. He didn't believe that, not with out evidence. "Believe it or not, but we need that tech back, and maybe I'll be able to prove it to you that there's still prism energy in that, even if it is just a bit." Shadow implied. "Oh, well, you are gong to have to wait until tomorrow. Tail's has the tech!!" Sonic informed, but Shadow already knew. "I don't trust that fox.." Shadow explained, which left Sonic confused. "Shadow, it's Tails who we are talking about now, not Nine, I'd understand it if it were Nine." Sonic tried forming an argument to get Shadow to understand him, but nothing worked. There was something about that fox that he didn't trust, whether it was Tails, nine, or any other version of Miles.

Meanwhile, someone else spied on them, hidden within the forest, getting all the information they needed...
