Aftermath..

Sonic ran across Hedgehog's Pass, trying to find the edgelord whom he heard gliding by. He was determined to find him first, since it was always Shadow who found him. Unfortunately for him, Shadow already found him first.

He was hiding from afar, watching Sonic search for him. He found it funny how desperate Sonic was  to find him, but eventually he showed himself. Sonic spotted him soon enough and quickly ran over to him, his arms open, ready for a hug, but stop a few inches apart from him. He remembered him not being much of a hugger..

Sonic, right on the verge of death, laid on the ships floor, surrounded by Thorn Rose and her bird. He was suffering, as his body slowly became more and more transparent. Black Rose was driving the ship across the shatterverse as quickly as they could, and Shadow was helping with keeping the rocks in the shatterverse from hitting the ship. At one point, the ship could get any closer to Green Hill's portal, so Shadow took it from there and helped Sonic up, taking him across the shatterverse over to the portal. Halfway through, Sonic collapsed, and Shadow had no choice but to pick him up bridal style, (was it casual?) to be able to arrive before it was too late.

"I never knew you were a hugger.."
"Do you want me to save you?"

Shadow noticed his hesitation. Sonic was there, right in front of him, clueless on what to do. Shadow sighed in defeat, opening his arms for the blue hedgehog. Sonic quickly became excited and hug him, for a while. Shadow was the one to separate. He wasn't much of a hugger, but after everything both of them, especially Sonic, had gone through, he figured that it was okay, just this once.

"Ah! I'm so glad you are okay!!" Sonic exclaimed. Shadow quickly went into thought.. "Glad I'm okay? What about you dumb*ss? You were literally at the verge of death and you still managed to hold a smile for me.." Shadow stayed in thought while Sonic talked to him, or tried to. He noticed Shadow zoning out and waved his hand in front of his face. "Shadow?" He called out to him, trying to get him to snap out of it.

At last, since it didn't work, he shouted. "SHADOW." Finally, the ultimate lifeform snapped back to reality. "Hm?" Was all he let out. Sonic sighed and repeated what he had asked. "Did you.. hide the prism in a safe place?.." Shadow let out a soft smile and closed his eyes. "Yes.. somewhere you won't be able to find it either." Sonic smiled, relieved it was all over.

Shadow opened his eyes once again, which in that moment, it was a bad idea. He saw Sonic, but not how he looked at that moment, but what he looked like when he was in his arms, suffering from having all the prism energy sucked out of him. He hated seeing him so miserable, and for multiple reasons he couldn't admit to, but one was Maria. He lost Maria, he couldn't loose him too. He was scared, he broke the speed barrier with out noticing. He vowed to himself to never let anyone else die, anyone he cared about. He snapped out of his thoughts as Sonic shook him.

Sonic noticed his behavior, as his eyes widened. "𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱!" He thought to himself. "Woah Shadow! Saw a ghost?" Shadow took that wrong, seriously wrong. His anger grew as he pushed Sonic's hands off of him. "A joke? Seriously?! After everything that happened, you are still joking?!" Sonic wasn't surprised at him for getting mad, but he was surprised of his reason. He never thought he would care enough to get this mad at him because of a joke to try and cheer him up.

"Hey I was just-" He tried explaining himself, but he was interrupted quicky. "No, for once, be serious about this!! You almost died in my hands for being so reckless and not sticking to the ORIGINAL plan!! You are so chaotic, so reckless and careless about your life, you don't THINK of the consequences!! What if I didn't arrive on time?! That was a HUGE possibility!!!" Sonic's ears lowered a bit as he realized the anger forming in Shadow. He was right.. but 𝐡𝐞 didn't understand his point of view. "Shadow I-.. Look, I'm sorry, okay?.." Shadow wasn't surprised that was all he had to say. He rolled his eyes and immediately glided away. 

Sonic, became quite upset. He didn't like hurting others, but he didn't understand them, and they didn't understand him. It was difficult for him to express true emotions, especially through actions. He thought maybe jokes would make everyone feel better, like it used to, but after the shatter of the prism, everything was different, and he had to see the world how it truly was, not just through jokes.

He decided that maybe it was best to just head straight home. Reflect about all the things that happened to him that no one else truly knew about, maybe that would help him to make a change.

Yes i know they are quite short, I don't like them too long so there's more chapters.
