A/N: What's the name of a brown owl whom took care of sonic in the movie?

Sonic was tunning his electric guitar, the one his mother gifted him before going missing. He was taking shelter in a small shack in the middle of a forest, owned by a owl, who took him in after she found him lost and alone. 

He was waiting for her to arrive with some food, and soon later, she did. Longclaw arrived with a couple of berries. It wasn't much, but it managed to help Sonic's hunger. Sonic ran up to her and took the offered berries in his hands and started to eat them. Longclaw watched happily, proud to see him taking care of himself better. 

A question popped up in her mind. "Sonic.." She called him over, patted the spot next to her. Sonic smiled and quickly went over to her, sitting down, looking up at her. "Yes Longclaw?" Sonic asked, filled with curiosity. "..What do you want to be when you grow up?" She asked the infant hedgehog. Sonic took his time to think about it, and really it was obvious what his answer was gonna be. "A hero.." He confessed. He loved saving people, it made him feel important in society. He was innocent, he didn't know how much that would drain him, and Longclaw became worried. "Being a hero isn't an easy job.." She informed him. Sonic looked at his hands, reminding himself from where he came from. A royal family, one that protect their subjects.

Sonic looked up on the roof to see his friend, Rouge, with the tech in her hands. She was inspecting it, feeling an awful familiar energy out of them. "What are these? Tail's never informed he made something like this." Rouge asked the hedgehog. Sonic jumped and grabbed them, putting them back in the drawing. "That's because he didn't, well.. he did.. i-it's complicated.." He tried to explain.

Rouge looked at him confused. Tails didn't make that tech, but did? Something was not right about that. She flew over to the drawer and tried taking them back to ask Tail's about it, but Sonic ran in front of her, prohibiting her to even touch the drawer. "Rouge, I get you are suspicious, but that is mine, and i don't plan on showing it to anyone else." He explained as he zoned out, too focused on the topic. "Besides, if it get's in the wrong hands i don't know what I'll do to sa-" He stopped talking once he didn't hear her at all. He turned around to see her gone, and the drawer wide open. He sighed and ran out of the shack, right after her.

Tails was in his lab, still working on the tech Sonic had seen earlier. It was important to him to finish it, in order to continue his experiments, his mission. It was quiet until a certain bat broke in, and Sonic arrived right after her. "Tails!!" Rouge shouted as she threw her the tech. Sonic tried to stop her, tackling her down, but it was too late, as Tails catches the tech. The fox looked at the tech, amazed. "Woah, i have never seen something so.. peculiar!! I didn't make this.. and it's not like Sonic has the capability to make this, no offence.." He said, now lookin at Sonic. Sonic rolled his eyes and sighed. "Non-taken.." Tails, again, inspected the tech. "Where did you find them?" He asked.

Sonic wasn't just gonna straight up tell him the truth. It was risky. "Another friend of mine gifted them to me. I don't know if they found it or made it, or what the tech even does." He lied right on the spot. Tails kept inspecting the tech, still quite amazed. "You don't mind if i run some tests on it? I promise I'll keep it safe!" The hedgehog hesitated. On one hand, it was some dangerous tech from another world, on the other, it was Tails. He decided to trust t=his best bud. "Fine.. I trust you."

Besides, what could go wrong?

Tails got super excited and hugged Sonic, thanking him. "Your.. welcome Miles.." Sonic said, as he tried to take a breather. "Cool, now can both of you get off?" Rouge interrupted. The both of them looked down and nervously smiled. "Of course!.." Tails said as both him and Sonic got off of her.

Outside, Shadow had secretly followed them, and was spying on the three of them. He growled quietly, hearing Sonic give in and give Tails the tech to run some tests. If there was anything he didn't trust in the whole world, they were foxes. He Chaos controlled out of there, heading over to where he hid the prism.

He walked over to the prism, seeing it's glow fade a bit. Reason number one on why he needed to steal that tech back, was because a small portion of the prism's energy, still remained inside that tech. He didn't trust Sonic with that tech either, seeing how thing ended up last time, but seeing how Sonic is the only one who is physically connected to the prism, he had no choice,, but to sit on the bench and see how things played out..
