The wish I sent

I always try to sit and think
But it never matters much to me
How much I fall how much I stand
How much dust stains on my pants

I trudge along with the rest of it
Square to square I force a fit
Step and stomp I kick and wump
It's never something I later haunt

It's breezing by the world around
I see each face in this small town
Their sight is set they have a cost
at that one cost I'm close to lost

Don't count my lives don't count my days
Ill sway the way the wind will take
I shut my eyes to think of one
But at the end I'm left with none

At the end well then I speak
Something short and something sweet
Never will you hear again
The pleas I left the wish I sent
