Jungkook stood frozen, watching as Lisa disappeared down the hallway. His mind was spinning, and his heart felt heavy with guilt and confusion. Naeun, standing beside him, seemed just as distraught.“Jungkook,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I’m so sorry. I never wanted this.”Jungkook looked at her, his emotions raw and tangled. “It’s not your fault, Naeun. It’s mine. I should have set clearer boundaries. I should have managed things better.”Naeun wiped at her tears, her hands shaking. “I can’t believe I’ve caused all this. I never wanted you to lose her because of me.”“It’s not just about you,” Jungkook said, his voice hoarse. “It’s about how I’ve handled everything. I thought I could be there for both of you, but maybe… maybe I can’t.”Naeun’s lip quivered. “I don’t want to be the reason you’re unhappy.”“You’re not,” Jungkook replied, though he wasn’t sure if he even believed his own words. The truth was, his life had spiraled out of control, and now he was left standing in the wreckage. As Naeun turned back toward her room, Jungkook was left alone in the hallway, grappling with the reality that he might have lost the one person who had stood by him through it all—Lisa. And for the first time, he wondered if there was a way to fix the damage, or if it was already too late.
