Authors note: Hey, this is really short, since I'm super busy, but I haven't written a Yuqi centric one, so I just wanted to try writing our giant puppy, but well, it kinda also became a Soyeon centric one?

Yuqi loved compliments. A lot. The Beijing puppy will practically do anything for a compliment, a word of praise from her unnies, and Shuhua, but unfortunately, she bothered the wrong person that day.

"Unnie!" Yuqi squealed, as they bent over the monitor together, watching the recording for their music video, and it was Yuqi's part. She was extremely proud of her acting, and wanted some validation, which she tried to get from Soyeon, who was beside her, monitoring the clips with great attentiveness.  "Unnie, was my acting good?" Yuri tried, hoping for praise, but when Soyeon didn't respond, Yuqi pouted.

"Unnnnieee! Did you not hear me? Is my acting good?" Yuqi batted her eyelashes for effect, looking at the tiny leader hopefully. Soyeon sighed. "Yuqi, please, I'm busy. I have to check that there are no mistakes in the MV. Can you stay quiet for a while, or if you don't wanna monitor, go bother Miyeon unnie or Minnie unnie or someone else." "Meanie." Yuqi frowned as she silenced, not really wanting to leave the leaders side. You see, Yuqi was a determined person, who wouldn't give up on what she wants easily. And now, what she wanted was a "You did good" from Soyeon, but the leader was currently far too preoccupied with other things, so Yuqi waited until she finished monitoring and straightened up. "Unnie?" Yuqi asked instantly. "Was my acting good?"

Soyeon pressed two fingers to her temple. "Yuqi-ah, please, we can do this later. I have to talk to Minnie for something." With that, she left, and Yuqi's heart sank slightly, but she decided that she would go invade the food truck with Shuhua instead of sulking, and she could ask Soyeon again later.

Invading the food truck was a successful mission, and as Yuqi munched on her oden, she almost forgot about her earlier disappointment, until when she spotted Soyeon talking with Minnie, and the leader seemed like she was in a much better mood, and she was gesturing to Minnie how Minnie should act during her scene, and when Minnie did it, (admittedly well) Soyeon grinned, giving Minnie a thumbs up, and praised. "That was really good. You nailed the concept."

Yuqi felt a burst of anger and jealousy. How come Minnie gets compliments, but I get pushed aside? Soyeon is being so unfair right now. She didn't even notice that her fists were tightly clenched, until Shuhua asked.

"Woogs, your hands are clenched. You okay? Did something happen?" Shaking her head, Yuqi tried to play it off cool with a casual laugh and headed back to the set with Shuhua with a heavy heart. Soyeon and Soojin were doing iTalk, and both giggling in front of the camera, arms linked, and when Miyeon joined, entering the frame, they both included her into their conversation, and when Shuhua saw her unnies were chatting with Neverlands, she jumped in and started her antics, eliciting laughs from everyone, including the staff. When Minnie finished, she joined in the frame, and started ranting to Soyeon about how their mud scene sucked, and Soyeon just laughed, and complained with her to the rest of the girls, whining about the cold, sticky mud covering them from head to toe. As the scene unfolded before her eyes, Yuqi's heart ached. She felt so...alone. And left out. She strode forward, trying to join the chaos, but the moment Soyeon saw her, she looked a little hurried and said. "Yeoreobun, I have to go continue filming, love you all! bye bye!" And she practically dashed to her set, even though there was still ten minutes before her next shooting started. Yuqi's lower lip trembled and her vision grew blurry. That was why. Soyeon hated her. She was willing to show everyone else affection, but just not her. Soyeon, one of her best friends, hated her. And she didn't know why.

"Woogie? Woogs? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Miyeon's anxious voice stopped her from spiralling, but she was horrified to find tears rolling down her cheeks, and when she tried to speak, her voice was croaky and couldn't come out properly. Seeing this, Miyeon instantly pulled her into a hug, and Minnie grabbed some tissue to wipe her face dry. "Woogie, can you tell us what wrong?" Yuqi tried to speak again, and her voice cracked in the middle of her explanation.

"S-Soyeon unnie h-hates me, a-and I don't even k-know why!" Yuqi choked out, a sob rising in her throat. Minnie shushed her gently, while Shuhua was patting her youngest unnie's back, trying to soothe her. Oblivious to the situation, Soyeon had her back turned to the girls as she was going over some technical issues with the staff. Soojin frowned. "What do you mean hate you? Woogie, she doesn't and will never hate you! What makes you think she hates you?" "B-Because w-when we were monitoring, I-I asked h-her is my acting w-was okay, a-and she told me to s-stop talking, and w-when she s-saw me j-just now, s-she just ran a-away from m-me!" Yuqi sobbed, clinging on to Miyeon's sweater, snot dripping down her face. She knew she probably looked pathetic, bawling like a baby  and smearing her snot and tears over Miyeon's sweater, but she felt too miserable to care. Yuqi's sobs have gotten loud enough that Soyeon finally realised what was happening. She turned around, and was horrified to see the sobbing puppy. Checking that the cameras were off, she scrambled over to Yuqi, but the younger girl shyed away from her. Bewildered, Soyeon turned to the other members, absolutely confused. What did I do? Was it because I ignored her just now? Oh-Oh god.

Minnie glared at her sharply. "Yuqi said you were ignoring her just now. Why were you doing that, huh?" Soyeon's face fell. Oh. Shoot, it was really about that. But how do I explain myself without revealing the reason? Think, Soyeon, think. Soyeon felt herself shrink back slightly at the cold expressions on the four girls' faces (except Yuqi, who was too busy crying) and she began tugging nervously at the edge of her hoodie. Finally, the truth burst out of her lips before she could stop herself. "B-Because there were cameras there..." Oh shoot. Soojin tilted her head, clearly puzzled. "Why can't you acknowledge Yuqi on camera? You know, you both have your little JSYQ thing going on."

"That's exactly why!" Soyeon burst out, eyes stinging, "The people online were hating on the fact that I-I'm close to Yuqi! And some of them said t-that if I don't stay away from her, then-then they'll......" her voice cracked in the middle of her sentence. The death threats online had forced her to stop openly interacting with Yuqi on camera to keep them both safe. Yuqi froze. The whole time when she was ignoring me was to protect me? Springing up without a second thought, she wrapped her arms tightly around the leader's small frame, inhaling the soft scent of cinnamon that Soyeon strangely always smelled of. They stayed in that hug for a while, just basking in each other's comfort, before Soyeon broke the hug, looking at Yuqi shyly.

"For the record, I think your acting is really good, Yuqi-ah. I'm sorry for not talking to you earlier."  Yuqi smiled. " 'S okay. I still love you."

Whew, another chappie done! I know this turned into a Soyeon centric one too, but I hope this was okay! ㅠㅠ Sorry for the wait, everyone! Hope you enjoyed, love you, bye! <3
