Hi guys, Barney here! Did anyone expect an update so soon? Oh well, I was bored. Anyways, I know Shuhua is a foreigner and struggles with Korean, so that's what inspired the fic. I'm mostly a fluff and maybe a teeny tiny bit of angst writer. I can't write AUs or smut, sorry, but if you have any fluffy (G)I-DLE oneshots, feel free to message me!

Set during Oh My God era :)

Shuhua scampered down the stairs happily. It was their last day of promotions, then they have a day off all to themselves. Sure, it was just a day, but for the six girls who have been working so tirelessly since they debuted, the break sounded like heaven. The maknae beamed, seeing the '98 lines making chocolate chip waffles with their waffle maker in the kitchen. Slipping into the kitchen, she tiptoed beside Soojin and poked her sharply on the shoulder, causing her to jump.

"Ah!" The elder yelped, turning around, ready to kill whoever had just scared the socks off of her, but the moment she saw the pup grinning at her happily, and annoyance melted and she ruffled Shuhua's hair endearingly.

"Morning, Shu. You're early today. Do you wanna go eat now? There's already finished waffles on the blue plate." 

"Nuh uh. I just wanna watch you and Soyeon unnie make waffles." the maknae announced, settling down on the small bar top stool near the counter.

Soyeon snorted. "Watch me and Soojin make waffles? More like watch Soojin while simping over her."

Both girls blushed, the proceeded to whack Soyeon on the arm. Hard.

"Ow! But honestly, Shu, you're just here to stare at Soojin's back profile. Not the waffles."

Soojin glared at the leader. "As if you and Yuri are any better. Are we not gonna talk about last week, huh?" 

"YAH!"

Soon, all the members were seated at the dining table, munching on waffles. Yuqi was drowning her waffles in syrup, and Minnie's waffles didn't even stand a chance against hungry Minnie, who gobbled the stack of waffles in literal seconds. 

"Remember, guys. We still have vocal practise, then an interview variety show thingy." Soyeon reminded. "So hurry up and finish your food and change. No Yuqi, you can't wear your bunny slippers out. No Miyeon, you can't wear pajamas outside. And for goodness sake, Minnie, you can't not go out." Somehow Soyeon managed to say all of that in one breath. 

While pointing a piece of her waffle in a very threatening way at the members.

The piece of waffle dropped onto the table with a muffled flop.

Groaning, the members dragged themselves upstairs one by one to change and freshen up. Shuhua adjusted her checkered vest and white shirt. She was ready, and actually kind of excited. The group hasn't exactly been on many variety shows before, so the little wolf was pretty hyped. They met Soyeon and manager-nim in the car, and headed off to the company, while singing "What makes you beautiful" at the top of their lungs.

At the company, the girls entered the studio, bowing at their vocal teacher and taking their places at the comfy sofa in the studio, waiting for their turns.

"Alright, Yuqi, you first." The vocal teacher instructed. Yuqi obediently scurried into the recording booth and began singing. Her deep voice sounded powerful and gave her an aura of confidence, and she pronounced each words so smoothly Shuhua was jealous of her perfect pronunciation though she is a foreigner. Minnie went next. Her soft, silky voice, smooth and velvety as honey fit right into the verses Soyeon assigned to her. Her pronunciation was even better than Yuqi's, and she sang each word precisely, not missing any end sounds. Soojin and Miyeon both blessed the ears of everyone in the studio with their hypnotising and enchanting voices respectively, and Soyeon pretty much burned the studio up with her flaming rap verses, and of course, being Korean, the three of them had immaculate pronunciation.
