Thursday
"Talia!" Tyson yells as I get dressed for him to take me to school.
I finish getting dressed in my grey Nike sweatpants and hoodie and my white air forces with my white beanie and put a fresh bandaid on my face and head downstairs. I see the front door open and I go outside to see him looking at the car. "Uh what's up?" I ask.
He turns to me. "What the hell happened to my car!?" I tilt my head in confused and I look at what he's taking about. My eyes go wide. Shit. I look at the scratch going from the left headlight to the rear. 'Final Warning'
"Motherfucker." I grit out and he's still looking at me. "I'm sorry Ty. I'll get it fixed." He shakes his head.
"Who did this shit?" He asks and I look back it and back to him.
"I um I can't tell you that." He tilts his head with his brows furrowed.
"The hell you mean you can't tell me? Someone keyed my car Talia! And clearly you know who it is so what's up?!" He yells angry and rightfully so.
I shrug. "I said I'll fix it. What does it matter who did it?" I ask getting more frustrated because this bitch is fucking up my relationship with my brother.
He scoffs. "It matters because this," he gestures to the car and then steps to me to tilt my head to the side with my cut on it. "And this only leads to more dangerous situations and I will not see my sister getting hurt any worse." He says and I sigh. "Now tell me who did it."
"I can't."
He sighs. "Talia."
"I can't tell you because I don't actually know who did it. I didn't see their face. So just let me fix it."
He palms his face. "Fine. Whatever just get in the car so we can go." I nod and get in the car and he drives me to school. We make it after driving in complete silence and I wanted to pull my hair out. "I'll see you after practice." He says and I nod and get out the car.
I walk in the school with my head down seeing people looking at me wondering what happened. "Holy shit Talia?!" I roll my eyes at the sound of Maira when I walk up to my locker. "Talia what happened?" She asks titling her head to look at me.
"You want the truth or what I told Tyson?" I ask with a neutral face and she folds her arms. I sigh. "Verenas ex, shes the one who grabbed me after I left the dance. And then she threatened me to leave Verena alone or she'd kill me. But of course I didn't so yesterday after she dropped me off at home, she grabbed me and did it again but then last night she also keyed the side of Tysons car so now he's pissed and asking questions." I say and her mouth goes agape and her arms fall.
"What?" She breathes out and I nod. "Talia what the fuck? Does Verena know it's her ex doing this shit to you?" I nod.
"Not this time. I don't know exactly how I'm going to explain this one without her freaking out."
"And?"
I shrug. "And what?"
"And you're going to break up with her right?" I furrow my brows at her.
"And why would I do that?" I ask slightly annoyed.
She scoffs. "Is this not enough?" I hiss when she pushes on the scar. "She could've killed you then but she warned you Talia, twice, so take it." She says seriously.
"I love her Maira." I say looking her in her eyes and her eyes soften and she sighs. "I love Verena and yeah I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared that her ex will kill me but I'm more scared of the fact that if we break up she'll hurt her."
