"oh my god, you're telling me that he was so sweet to you and managed to look hot while explaining drug nomenclature?" jaemin asked, sipping his tea.
it was the time for the weekly bonanza.
well, that indeed sounds fancy but it's actually just a hang out organised by chenle, jaemin, renjun and donghyuck on a weekly basis in different cafes and restaurants in order to catch up and try different cuisines.
catching up included sharing all the details about every single hot alpha they might have seen this week.
donghyuck learned that jaemin knew both mark and jaehyun since they were frequent customers at the nightclub owned by his parents. this was indeed the most interesting information to him.
"yes, i am not going to repeat that again, it's so embarrassing," the tanned omega said after repeating the instance for the fourth time to jaemin because the latter was so excited about this topic, he kept picking it up.
"hyuck, what if he is your mate? like there is no other reason why you would develop such instant attraction towards mark?" chenle said, taking a bite of his strawberry fondant cake.
renjun chuckled, "but if that was the case, mark would have felt it too. did he make any moves?"
donghyuck stared at the others with a blank expression, "guys, stop acting like i have met mark multiple times. we only seen each other once, and we were discussing chemistry where i was making a fool out of myself. also, in case you have forgotten, he is completely off limits."
"right," the excitement on jaemin's faded very quickly, "mr lee is definitely the conservative type... he would not appreciate you if you ended up using his offer to teach you as a way to get to his son."
"jaemin is right, it actually sounds very weird when you put it like that," renjun nodded
chenle joined the agreement as he added, "not to mention, your parents are literally friends. so, in case anything goes wrong, it's going to be a bit weird..."
donghyuck slumped against his chair, burying his face in his palms, "yes, i know guys. pursuing mark isn't a good idea at all."
but donghyuck knew he wasn't sincere with that statement. yes, he knew it was a bad idea, but something inside him craved the idea of being with the older alpha. it was a suffocating feeling in his chest, not ready to calm down.
"anyways, why don't we call jisung and jeno here? this is getting really boring, no offense," chenle suggested, noticing the lively atmosphere of their table fading away. it was still early evening and they had finished their assignments, so there was nothing better to do.
"you can call jisung. but if you invite jeno, i am leaving," jaemin stated, not looking at the others and fiddling with his spoon.
renjun looked confused, "did you two fight? that's a bit unusual."
