mark believed he was all three of those things.
yes, he was an alpha, so it was natural for him to be hyperactive at times and have his moments of being short tempered, but he was still calm, cool and collected. at least in comparison to his other alpha friends.
he had his own intense reactions to many things. he was possessive about many things, but that was limited to objects, not people.
so, when he felt troubled by donghyuck ignoring him he was confused. the two weren't really close friends, so it shouldn't have affected him, but it did.
he saw donghyuck swing five shots of vodka. he saw doyoung approach him and despite feeling uneasy about it, he didn't want to think much of it.

but then doyoung lead the omega to the dance floor, and mark couldn't help but fix his stare on them. he tried to find other appealing things in the club, such as yuta trying to take a shot without using his hands or johnny shamelessly flirting with the bartender.
but he couldn't focus on either for more than ten seconds. his eyes kept finding their way back to the one omega who had completely messed up with his thoughts.
"i can't believe that instead of apologising, he is out there dancing with another omega," jungwoo muttered next to him.
mark too was feeling mad, but it was not at doyoung. and that really concerned him. this isn't ideal at all, because donghyuck, no matter how good looking, how sweet or how funny, was not his omega. and thus, he had absolutely no reason to feel like that.
ever since he caught donghyuck staring at him subtly, he was ruined. he didn't know that the omega was going to be present here, and he absolutely ridiculed himself for that — he knew jaemin and donghyuck were friends, so it was an obvious thing. seeing the latter look so stunning with his skin glowing under the lights, mark didn't know what was happening to him.
he could not understand this feeling of being pulled towards the omega. he had spoken to johnny about it and was told that it usually happens when the pair is supposed to be mates, but mark didn't believe that.
he could not pursue donghyuck. he was a student of his father, who was invited to their house to study. it was not right for donghyuck to take advantage of that, cross professional boundaries and be with him.
and mark had always played by rules and abided by professional lines. he had never crossed the line of what is appropriate and what is not, and he had made sure that he was never the reason another person did the wrong thing morally.
but for the very first time, the temptation was so enticing, he was desperate to take a taste.
when he saw the omega for the very first time, it was his scent that caught his attention. of course, he was genuinely good looking, with big doe eyes, tanned skin that looked like honey, soft hair and a smile so bright, he resembled the sun. but the omega's scent was so calming, mark was dying to be closer.
