donghyuck didn't like how intimate the table was that mark had chosen for them in the cafe.
it was located at the corner of the cafe, shielding them from everyone's gaze, with absolutely no windows on their side for them to be distracted by another passerby or event outside. it was just him and mark.
now yes, the logical reasoning was that they came here to study, so of course mark would choose a more silent place, but donghyuck was one delusional man.
"are you this generous with everyone, or am i supposed to feel special," he asked, testing the waters.
mark looked at him for a second with a small smile on his face before replying, "which option should i choose in order for you to get a good sleep tonight?"
donghyuck was not definitely not expecting mark to reply with such a question. he knew he cannot fall in the flirting game, he knew it would pull him only deeper. so he resorted to the safer choice, "of course, the first one. don't inflate your ego too much, i was just wondering why are you helping me so much when you don't even know me."
"what's your favourite colour?" mark asked suddenly
donghyuck looked puzzled, "what? where did that come from?"
"what's your favourite colour, donghyuck. we don't have all day, do we?" mark asked again
moved by the sudden change in the tone of the alpha, the student just replied instead of interrogating him, "red."
"what do you like to eat the most?"
"kimchi stew."
"what are your hobbies?"
donghyuck had no idea where this was going, "singing, playing table tennis, sleeping, listening to music and everything else that doesn't involve chemistry."
recently stalking mark's instagram had become his hobby too but he wasn't going to mention that.
"who is your favourite singer?"
"hyunbaek"
"mine too," mark muttered before continuing, "what is your favorite movie?"
"the lion king," he replied, "now can you tell me why are you taking my interview?"
"you said that i dont even know you, but now i do. is that enough for me to help you now, or do you want to have a deeper bonding session before we discuss your project?" mark replied, taking a sip from his cup of regular americano.
donghyuck was flabbergasted. mark really had his own way around his words. he wondered if this expertise of his extended to other areas too.
he face palmed himself mentally, thinking his heat must be near.
