Author's Note:Hi, guys!
I just wanted to give you a little introduction to the characters we're working with. I know you're all excited to meet Krit, Vel, and the rest of the gang. So, here's the deal. I have a soft spot for side couples, and yes, Ping and Nut are going to be the side couple in this story. But let me clear something up right now: NutVel's divorce has nothing to do with Nut cheating on Vel with Ping . I know some of you might have had that thought, but that's not the case here. So, no worries there!
Now, let's talk about Krit. I really wanted to give him this carefree, careless, playboy persona. I mean, he can't always be the mature one, right? It's fun to see a character like him living life without too many responsibilities weighing him down. He's a straight-A student but loves his parties and casual dating. It's a balance that works for him.
Another thing I want to mention is the tone of the story. It's not going to be overwhelmingly sad or anything like that. There's no major backstory or past trauma lurking behind the scenes. Everything happens in the present. So while there will be moments of tension and emotion, it's not going to be all heavy and slow-burning. That said, it won't be an instant love story either. It's not going to drag on like a typical slow burn where you wait until the 11th or 15th chapter for things to happen (think Red, White & Royal Blue levels of slow burn). But at the same time, Krit and Vel won't just fall into each other's arms right away either. I'm thinking things will start heating up around the 5th or 6th chapter, as the flirting becomes more mutual from both sides.
One more important thing: I'm not going to start writing this book until I finish the first one. I know some authors juggle multiple stories at once, updating them at random, and that can be super confusing. I don't want to do that to you. Once I wrap up the first story, I'll dive into this one. I had a lot of ideas for Fragments of Us, and I couldn't wait to share them, but I promise I'll keep things organized and not leave anyone hanging.
So, thanks for your patience and for sticking with me. I'm excited to see where these characters' lives will take us!
Hope you're as excited as I am!
