As the group settled into their usual booth at the café after school, the conversation quickly turned to the growing tension between Kai and Zyran, even in their absence. Amara, sitting across from Yuu, couldn’t help but feel a flutter in her chest as she thought about Kai.
Have you guys noticed how Kai and Zyran are always at each other’s throats?” Amara asked, trying to sound casual while stealing glances at Yuu.
“Yeah, it’s like watching a soap opera,” Yuu replied with a grin. “You can practically feel the tension between them!”
Riku chimed in, a teasing smile on his face. “Do you think Kai has a crush on Zyran? I mean, he gets all flustered when Zyran is around.”
Amara’s heart raced at the thought, but she quickly shook her head. “No way! Kai’s not into guys, right?”
“Are you sure about that?” Jaden teased. “He definitely gets jealous when other people talk to Zyran.”
“Please,” Amara protested, her cheeks slightly flushed. “I just think Kai’s great!”
Sure, but he’s pretty oblivious to how he feels,” Leo said, leaning back in his seat. “He could be hiding some serious feelings.”
Yuu nudged Amara, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “You might want to watch out, Amara. If Kai’s not careful, he might just fall for Zyran.”
Amara felt a twinge of jealousy at the thought but quickly pushed it aside. “Well, what about me? I think Kai is amazing!”
“Yeah, but you have to admit, there’s something interesting about Kai’s interactions with Zyran,” Riku said, smirking. “He practically lights up whenever he’s around.”
Amara rolled her eyes, trying to play it cool. “I don’t care about Zyran. I just want Kai to notice me for once!”
“Maybe you should just tell him how you feel,” Yuu suggested, a knowing smile on her face.
“Yeah, right. As if I’d confess to my crush in front of the whole group,” Amara said, a mix of embarrassment and determination in her voice.
Just then, Leo leaned in closer, a grin spreading across his face. “What if we set up a little situation? Like, you know, make him jealous?”
Amara’s eyes widened. “Are you serious? I don’t want to play games!”
“Come on, it could be fun! Plus, it might just get Kai to notice you,” Jaden said, his voice filled with excitement.
As the group continued to plot and joke, Amara felt a mix of hope and nerves. Maybe there was a way to get Kai’s attention without all the drama. But as she glanced around, she couldn’t help but wonder if Zyran’s presence would complicate everything.
