Emmett saw him next and commented, "Hey. According to my calculations, the rotary engine for a full-scale rocket drill will require 1.21 kilowatts of power." As he spoke, he turned his back to Marty, who started fading out again. He started to ask, "Can you check over my work to make sure...?" When he turned back, Marty had stopped fading out again. He added, "Are you alright?"

Marty replied, "Yeah yeah... But I need to get to Arthur!"

Emmett questioned, "Why?"

Marty explained, "He's headed for an accident!"

The inventor replied, "Arthur McFly may not be the most coordinated fellow around, but I'm sure that he can walk up a flight of stairs." Emmett turned his back to Marty, "C'mon shouldn't we be getting on with our work? We're on a strict deadline, right?"

The youngest McFly agreed, "Sure! You start without me. Turn around and start walking and... I'll catch up to you in just a few minutes."

Emmett was confused, "Huh?"

That's when Marty noticed the other Marty coming around the corner. Marty pointed at something random, making Emmett turn his head. Marty ducked as the other Marty came up to Emmett. The two chatted for a bit before they headed out.

Marty semi joked, "I thought I would never leave. This is why I wish Annie came with me."

Marty went into the courthouse and a second later Arthur came out. Marty came back out as soon as he noticed. Arthur jumped as soon as he noticed Marty.

Marty warned, "You gotta come with me! Look, you are in a lot of danger!"

Arthur perked up, "What do you mean I'm in danger?"

Marty stated, "No time to explain grand... Artie. Just promise me you'll stay at the police station until..."

Just then, Matches and Zane came up to them.

Matches grinned, "Arthur McFly! Just the guy we're looking for!"

Arthur nervously greeted, "Hey, fellas..."

Marty shouted, "Run!"

Zane turned to Matches, "Get him!"

The two of them dashed off after Arthur and Cue Ball knocked Marty over the head. Marty groaned as he collapsed to the ground. When Marty came to, he slowly got to his feet. There was no one in sight. Shit. Marty groaned as he started to fade out again.

Marty commented, "I better pick up their trail before I start fading out again."

That's when he saw Zane going into the soup kitchen. Well, that was a lead. Marty walked across the town square and went to the soup kitchen. That's when he saw Tannen's goons near the alley.

Cue Ball said, "Looks clear."

Matches stated, "Alright McFly, let's go see the boss."

That's when they went down the alley - Arthur in the front, Matches behind him, and then Cue Ball finally. Marty followed them. That's when Kid Tannen and Trixie Trotter came out of a door.

Kid commented, "Artie! How's my favorite accountant doing?"

Arthur answered, "Oh, I've been better..."

Kid sarcastically stated, "Oh I am so sorry to hear that, McFly." He turned to Trixie, "Trixie! Take a powder doll. We've got business to discuss."

Trixie nodded, "Kayo! You boys play nice now!" That's when she briefly kissed Kid's cheek. She turned to Arthur as she greeted, "Nice to see you, Artie."

Arthur replied, "You too, Miss Trotter."

Kid growled, "Yeah, yeah. We're all happy as claims. Now scram!"

That's when Trixie left, sighing sadly. As soon as she left, Cue Ball brought out a handkerchief and put it over Arthur's mouth. Arthur struggled a bit before he passed out.

Kid turned to his goons and lectured, "Are you guys stupid? What are you thinking, bringing this fish food to my doorstep?"

Cue Ball started to say, "But we just thought..."

Kid interrupted, "That was your first mistake. Thinking. Look at me. Do you ever catch me thinking?" Matches was about to answer but the gangster just shook his head. He stated, "Don't answer that. Look, just drag him inside, find out what he told the D.A., then get rid of him!"

Cue Ball replied, "I think we can handle that."

Kid responded, "Good. Now, if you don't mind, I've got an arsonist to snuff out... And will one of you slobs take these crates in?"

Matches confirmed, "You've got it, boss."

With that, Kid left. The two goons went into the door and knocked out Arthur.

Marty said to himself, "So far so good..." That's when he started to fade out again. He added, "I better get in there quick!"

Marty went over to the crates, taking out the contents, which was a one wing goddess. He put it to the side and went in the crate. Cue Ball came out a few seconds later to get the crates inside. Cue Ball was muttering to himself as he took the box that contained Marty inside. He lost the box briefly, causing Marty to tumble.

Cue Ball whispered, "Whoops..."

Marty grumbled quietly, "Ow..."

Matches turned to Cue Ball and hissed, "Do you mind? I'm tryin' to conduct a professional interrogation here."

Cue Ball asked, "Where should I put this?"

Matches answered, "Just shove it behind the bar."

Cue Ball muttered, "I'll just shove you behind the bar..."

When Cue Ball put the box down, Marty was able to open it. He saw Matches was slapping Arthur, still trying to wake him up. He had been tied up to a chair.

He complained, "C'mon, Artie... Geez, how much chloroform'd you put on that rag anyway?"

"Why?"

Matches explained, "'Cause I'm havin' a hard time bringing Sleeping Beauty here around."

"Lemme see." Cue Ball said as he put up the chloroform, going over to Matches. Zane was there too, sleeping on the counter.

Matches commented, "Hey, Artie! We have a few questions about you and the D.A.!"

Matches slapped him, as Arthur sleepily repeated what he said.
