"We leave at noon, tomorrow. Can you walk yet?" Ted questioned Diego.

"A little, but my balance is a little off."

"Okay, get Selena to help you to the car. I won't be there when you wake up tomorrow, I've got one more thing I have to sort out with Ivy." Ted was acting strange. This isn't how he usually is...

"Okay. You look tired. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Ted's reply was quick.

"Ted?"
"I said I'm fine."

Despite his hostile tone, he still did the usual cuddling with Diego, and some of the tension seemed to get lifted while they embraced.

The next morning, as Ted said, Diego woke up alone again. He checked the time- 11:30 am. Shit! He needed to get to the car. He gathered his belongings and stumbled out of his room. Selena instantly was there to help him.

Meanwhile, Ivy and Ted were talking in her office. The situation didn't exactly look the best...

"It's been 3 days, Ted. You've worked well. I forgot how much of a good asset you are." Ivy seemed to have something planned. Ted knew she would pull something sneaky. "Why don't you join us again?"

"I left all those months ago, and you know why. You know I didn't plan on joining you again now. The deal was today I leave. I paid, I kept my end of the deal. Keep your end, Ivy." Ted gritted his teeth.

"Oh? But we aren't done yet, dear. You're not leaving here. Not on my watch." Ivy suddenly seemed to have a bit of an evil grin on her face.

"What choice do I have? I guess I'll stay." Ted spoke as he walked to one of the bookshelves in her office, wiping dust off the shelf.

"What- really?"

"Fuck no!" Ted ran for the door, gunning it for the exit. 11:55.

Immediately, Ivy ran after him. The chase was intense, gathering a lot of attention throughout crimson chains. Ted was almost at the car. Almost.

Of course, Ted being Ted, tripped on something and fell to the floor, a few feet short of the car. Diego, being sat in the passenger seat, immediately noticed. "Ted!" He shouted, but it was useless.

Ivy grabbed Ted's ankle, dragging him away. Her hair was messed up and she had a crazed look on her face. Inch by inch, the last thing Diego saw was Ted being dragged away.
