Ted kicked and bit and did anything he could to make her let go, but she didn't. Instead she laughed maniacally. She began to give a speech.

"You really thought you could escape, Ted? After what you did last time? You had the nerve to come back here, you're so stupid. You're never going to say the day of light again!" Ivy continued ranting about her plans for him, meanwhile he pulled out his gun discreetly and shot her twice. Once in the arm, once in the leg. While Ivy was taken aback by the pain, Ted used it as an opportunity to run for it. Ivy threw a tiny piece of metal at Ted, but it just cut his face a bit.

He quickly got in the driver's seat.

"Seatbelt on, D?"

"Yeah."

He slammed on the acceleration pedal, speeding off away from crimson chains. 0 stars, would never visit again.

They rode in silence until they were far away enough for Ted to relax a bit, and drive at a more sensible, normal speed.

"Are you okay? I heard two gunshots." Diego asked.
"Yeah. It wasn't me who got shot." Replied Ted.
"Who was it?" Diego was confused.
"I shot her. I had to, just so I could escape!" Ted relived the moment a little bit. Can't any part of them existing be easy?!

"You shot her?" A look of horror spread on Diego's face. Was Ted a more violent person than he thought? Should he be worried?

"I had to. I'm lucky I got out of there. We can't go back there now."
"Obviously."

The car ride was full of awkwardness and tension so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Eventually, Ted found an old abandoned house, and pulled into the garage.
"We can stay here for the next few days. Just for now."

"Okay, fine."

They closed the garage door and got out of the garage into the house. It looked like an old, regular house. Ted assisted Diego on their way upstairs to the abandoned bedroom.

"Ted, what did you do that made Ivy try to keep you there. What did you say to piss her off?" Diego instantly questioned Ted.

"Nothing! She literally just said to me that she wasn't going to let me leave."
"Ted."
"Believe me, Diego."

"You didn't have to shoot her, you know." Diego sighed.
"No, you don't know! You weren't in that situation, Diego."
"Violence isn't the right thing. And what about Selena?"
"What about Selena?!"
"She wanted to leave. We should have brought her with us."
"Diego, you don't know what these people are really like. And what's with you? At first, you insisted that you wanted to be by yourself, you wanted to survive on your own and now you're suggesting a 3rd person?"
"What about you? I didn't think you were so violent and aggressive."

Ted just groaned and went downstairs. He didn't say anything, just left without another word. Hours passed, and nothing...
