Chikuchi Togeike was always a "debbie downer," as her parents said.

She was a spirit of negativity that never had high expectations of others, not even herself. This gave her former middle school classmates and teachers a bad impression of her.

Her parents had a habit of asking her really uncomfortable questions that Chikuchi never had the mental will to simply ignore. For example, they'd ask if she made any school friends. Or if she had a boyfriend yet.

Her quirk wasn't anything impressive either. It was dubbed Flash Grenade by her four year old self and her quirk doctor. She could generate a somewhat strong flash of light that appeared for about a second. She rarely used it and probably never would due to its mediocrity.

She deeply hated the average, mind numbing life she led and everyone in it. She knew she was lucky to have a quirk in the first place, but it was still torture.

She just wanted to be left alone and to be rid of everything and everyone who annoyed her. But she had to wait until she graduated from UA and acquired a nice amount of money to leave everything behind.

She liked money. The more money she had, the happier she became. Her parents had plenty, but they were so aggravating to talk with that she never asked for any. Because then she'd have to talk to them more.

Once she had enough, she would learn English and move to Hawaii. She heard it was a nice place. But there was also Italy and their incredible food.

She had a vision, and she wouldn't let it escape her. All she needed to do was get through UA, make tons of money, start a business, and do whatever she pleased with her riches.

'Ow!'

She felt something akin to a bug bite. She was on a walk to gain a new perspective, unknowingly traversing the same place the Sludge Villain attacked and temporarily captured Bakugo, and didn't see any bugs around.

'What was that? Did some dumbass shoot me with a... fuckin BB gun or something??'

She wasn't in the mood for this. She moved on with her day, and if she was bit/shot/whatever again, she'd beat ass.

She had no plans to return to the house any time soon. Her parents and the condescending way they spoke annoyed her to no end. She walked around for hours, occasionally stopping for a break and even picking up some snacks.

'Huh?' Chikuchi just now notices the time. It was pretty dark out. 'Geez... how long was I walking? Whatever. I suppose I should get home now. If nothing else, I'll at least enjoy all this exquisite junk food.' She begins the trip home.

"You should eat healthier, young lady!" Chikuchi said, mocking her dad and imitating him perfectly before reverting to her normal voice. "And you should leave me alone."

"Why were you out so late without calling or texting us?" She imitated her mom perfectly as well before talking normally. "Oh yeah? Here's a question: Why are you such an annoying fuckin-"

And then something slammed into her legs. Chikuchi looked down. A child with white hair, a horn, and wearing rags was clinging to her.

"What the?" She knelt. "Hey, are you okay?!"

"Eri..."

Chikuchi looked up. A bird-masked man with short brown hair approached. As soon as he noticed Chikuchi, his tone changed.

"Why are you running around out here at night? It isn't safe." The man stepped closer, and Chikuchi, a little on edge, picked Eri up. "I'm glad my daughter bumped into a nice young lady like you instead of a creep. Now... hand her over, please."
