"But before that," Camie points to Reiko. "Can I just say that this creaky old boat is the pits? This shit's dope, no cap."

"Thanks...?" It took Reiko a bit to process that. "It's was my cousin's before he passed and gave it to my dad. It, like all the other weird things in Japan, has a special ability. It teleports periodically depending on the direction it's pointed in and whether or not it's in water."

"Teleports? You have my condolences, bt dubs."

"You know about the weird things in Japan?" Kinoko asked.

"Of course I do."

"It's..." Kinoko pauses. "No one else seems to comment on the weird occurrences. For instance, Camie here had her phone stolen by gnomes before our boyfriend got it back, and these gnomes haven't been reported anywhere on the news. It's weird."

"Well, that's because the HPSC has memory erasure devices planted all over Japan. Whenever someone witnesses weirdness, their memories are wiped, and anything they put out on the internet is erased as well."

Kinoko looked very surprised by this information. "And you just know this, how?"

"Because it doesn't work on me. Well, it did at one point. But my mom and pop helped get my memories back. And to prevent them from being erased again, I had this installed..."

She knocked on her head, giving off the distinct sound of metal.

"You have a metal plate in your head?!" Camie exclaimed. "That's so hardcore!"

Reiko smiled. "I like studying strange phenomena and superstitions like ghosts and such. If UA didn't work out, I probably would've started a ghost hunting show. The point is, the more unusual something is, the more I usually like it, which brings me to the topic of the green guy who crashed into our classroom, Komori."

"Oh, Izu? That was our boyfriend, by the way." Komori gestures to herself and Camie. "Polycule."

Reiko doesn't react to this. "He's haunted. Or at least I think he is. Probably."

"And what does 'haunted' mean?"

"What do you think it means?" Reiko asked. "He's being watched and/or followed by something, and I want to know what it is. So you two, being his girls or something, are gonna help me get closer."

Camie smiled. "Like, speaking of closeness... Kinoko?"

"Huh?"

She outstretched her arms. "Hug."

Kinoko hugs her, and Camie brings her closer, making the shorter one straddle her.

"As you can very well see, we're very close. But the absolute unit that is our boyfriend, Rizzuku Himdoriya, brought us two bodacious babes together. After seeing his ripped, battle worn body in real time during the fiasco a bit ago, my heart was like, fluttering and all that. Like, that piece of strong-as-fuck man meat is really my boyfriend!" Camie said.

"So, I decided to get him a gift. But I didn't want it to be something spawned from the 5 Great Sages of Lame Mountain, so I did a little research here and there and found out about this cute little place called Nabu Island! They're have a small population with a tightly-knit community, so they totes have some high-quality gifting stuff!"

"Oh." Reiko said. "Wait, then why am I here?"

"For starters, you're super cute and stuff and totally Polycule material. Plus, if you wanna look more into Japan's weirdness, then our hottie is your guy. But you, according to Kinoko here, are the only one with a boat, so..."

"Why is your boyfriend "my guy" in regards to Japan's weirdness?"

"He has a journal with every freaky thing he's seen and experienced so far and a few of the anomalies stored as well. There's the Dangershroom, the gnomes, the time traveling ladybug..."
