Mr.Kims POV at Kang's residence.

As Taehyung's father, Kim Jae-Hyun, sat across from Yn and her mother, his initial reservations about the proposal began to wane.

Yn, despite her evident fear and confusion, had a certain grace about her. She wasn’t the type of woman he had imagined for his son, no heiress, no high society connection, but there was something about her that made him reconsider his earlier objections.

After their formal conversation, Mr. Kim observed Yn closely.

Her politeness, the way she carried herself, and the way she spoke with respect towards her mother struck him. Despite her normal upbringing, she had an inner strength that he admired.

He realized that perhaps this was what his son needed, a woman who wasn’t part of the business or mafia world, someone genuine, who could offer stability in Taehyung’s chaotic life.

Jae-Hyun said after they returned home, his voice more thoughtful than demanding. "Taehyung, I’ve met Yn now... and I must admit, she’s different from what I expected."

Taehyung, leaning against the wall, scoffed. "So, what? You’re going to tell me to forget her? That she’s not worthy of being with me?"

His father shook his head, surprising Taehyung with his response. "No. In fact, I think she might be exactly what you need. She’s a strong girl. Respectful, but not weak. I believe she could help you move on from the past."

Taehyung’s expression hardened at the mention of his past. He stood up straighter, his eyes narrowing. "Move on? From what?"

Jae-Hyun sighed, walking closer to his son, his tone softening. "Taehyung... I know what this is really about. You say you want to marry her, but I know there’s more behind it. You’re not thinking about love, you’re thinking about something else. But listen to me, son. It’s time to let go of that."

Taehyung clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. "You don’t know what you’re talking about."

"Oh, but I do." Jae-Hyun looked at him with knowing eyes. "You’re still hung up on that thing. Still angry. But this isn’t the way to fix things."

Taehyung’s silence was enough confirmation. His father’s words hit too close to him.

"I’m not doing this for it." Taehyung stated coldly.

"And you think marrying Yn will do that?" Jae-Hyun asked, his brow furrowed. "She’s an innocent girl. Dragging her into your revenge will only destroy her and you."

Taehyung turned away, staring out the window, his mind swirling with conflicted thoughts. His father’s words stung, but he couldn’t let go of this.

"I don’t care," Taehyung finally muttered, his voice laced with venom. "She’s the part of me now. I’ll make her mine, and when Jin sees that I have her, when he realizes I’ve taken the one thing he cherished, he’ll know what real pain is."

Jae-Hyun stepped forward, placing a hand on his son’s shoulder. "Son, listen to me. I know how much you’ve been hurt, but using this girl won’t heal those wounds. If you marry her for revenge, you’ll never find peace. But if you marry her because you see a future with her, because she can help you start over, then maybe, just maybe, you’ll find something worth living for."

Taehyung looked at his father, his eyes softening for a brief moment before the cold mask slipped back into place. "I don’t need peace. I need to win."

Jae-Hyun sighed deeply. "I can’t stop you, Taehyung. But I’m telling you now, if you choose this path, there will be consequences. Yn isn’t a pawn, and once you bring her into your life, things will change in ways you can’t control."

Taehyung didn’t respond. He knew his father was right, but he couldn’t stop now. Not when he was so close to finally getting his revenge.

The next evening, Yn and her mother sat at the dining table, both silent. Yn completely rejected Taehyung and she had to accept that.

After dinner, Mrs. Kang picked up the phone and dialed Mr. Kim's number, her heart heavy but resolute.

"Hello, Mr. Kim," she said in a soft voice.

"Ah, how you doing Mrs.kang" he asked.

"I’ve thought about your proposal, but... I’m afraid this marriage cannot happen. Yn doesn’t want it, and I have to stand by her decision."

On the other end of the line, Mr. Kim was taken aback, but he tried to keep his voice steady.

"Mrs. Kang, please reconsider. Taehyung is serious about Yn, and we only want the best for her."

Mrs. Kang sighed deeply. "I appreciate that, Mr. Kim, but I can’t force my daughter into something she doesn’t want. I’m sure you understand."

Mr. Kim paused, clearly frustrated. "Mrs. Kang, I understand your concern, but perhaps we could talk about this. Taehyung is very fond of Yn, and I’m sure, with time, she will come to see that he’s a good match for her."

Mrs. Kang's voice was firm, "Mr. Kim, I respect your family, but my daughter’s happiness is also the, I have to stand with her."

With that, the conversation ended. Mr. Kim put down the phone and sighed, knowing this wouldn’t sit well with his son. He made his way to Taehyung’s room, the weight of the situation heavy on his shoulders.

Taehyung's Room
----------------------------~

Taehyung sat at his desk, flipping through business files, but his mind was elsewhere. When his father entered the room, he glanced up, immediately sensing that something was wrong.

"What did she say?" Taehyung asked, his voice low, but sharp.

Mr. Kim sat down across from him, running a hand through his graying hair. "Mrs. Kang said no. Yn doesn't want to marry you, and her mother is supporting her decision."

Taehyung’s jaw clenched, and his hands tightened around the papers in front of him. "She said no?" he repeated slowly, his voice cold and filled with disbelief.

"Taehyung, you need to calm down. We can't force this. Mrs. Kang is firm, and Yn doesn’t want this marriage. If you really want this to happen, you’re going to have to act differently.  Move on with the past, be genuine to them. They need to believe that you genuinely care about Yn."

Taehyung leaned back in his chair, eyes narrowing. He had been banking on his father handling the situation, but now, it was up to him. He had to think, to act. He needed to win over Mrs. Kang, make her believe that he was worthy of Yn, that he could be a good husband.

His father’s words lingered in his mind,"they need to believe you care."

With a deep breath, Taehyung stood up. "Fine. If that's what it takes, I’ll make her agree." His voice was determined, but there was an underlying darkness, a plan forming in his mind.

Mr. Kim watched his son carefully. "Just make sure you do this the right way. Don’t scare them off. Be kind, be considerate. Make them trust you."

Taehyung nodded, though his thoughts were already racing. He knew what he had to do. He had to make Mrs. Kang see him as someone worthy of her daughter's hand. And if playing the part of the perfect, caring man was what it took, then he’d play it.
