As Taehyung left yn spent few hours at the store. Her heart heavy with the weight of the inevitable changes in her life.
This place, which had once felt like home, now seemed like a fleeting memory.
She spoke with her manager, finalizing the details of her departure, and then wandered around the store, greeting the regular customers, the neighborhood children, and her friends who had come to see her.
Min, smiled sadly as she approached. His eyes betrayed the feelings he had kept hidden for so long.
"So, this is really happening, huh?" Min said, trying to keep his voice light, though the tightness in his chest betrayed him.
Yn gave him a small, bittersweet smile. "Yeah, it is."
Min’s heart clenched, but he forced a smile, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I wish you nothing but happiness. You deserve it."
Yn nodded, appreciating the sentiment, though she felt a deep sense of unease inside. She exchanged more farewells, hugging a few of the children who clung to her, unaware that she would be gone soon.
Meanwhile, Taehyung found himself driving back to Yn’s home, a strange feeling gnawing at him.
As much as he told himself that this marriage was for revenge, his actions betrayed him. He arrived at her residence and knocked on the door.
Yn’s mother answered with a warm smile, but her eyes flicked to the bags in his hands. "Oh, Taehyung! Where’s Yn?"
Taehyung handed her the bags, his expression unreadable. "She’s still at the store, finishing up. She’ll be back in a few hours."
Yn’s mother scolded softly, glancing over her shoulder as if Yn could hear her from the distance.
"Ah, this girl… how could she send you back alone? She should be with you. Please, come inside, Taehyung. You shouldn’t be running around like this."
But Taehyung shook his head, his voice polite yet firm. "No, she didn’t send me back. I just came to give these to you."
He paused, offering a small, respectful bow. "I have a meeting to attend."
Yn’s mother gave a small sigh, but she nodded, smiling softly. "Alright, then. Thank you for everything, Taehyung."
With a nod, Taehyung left, climbing back into his car and driving off, but his mind was clouded with confusion.
As he drove, Taehyung’s thoughts swirled in a mess of emotions he didn’t quite understand.
Why am I doing this? he wondered, gripping the steering wheel tighter.
I'm ssupposed to marry her for revenge, to make jin suffer...so why can't I get her out of my mind?
He recalled the way her eyes had met his in the store, how soft her skin had felt under his touch.
And then the kiss, it had happened so suddenly, almost as if it were instinct. But why?
She's supposed to be nothing more than a tool for revenge... Yet, his actions betrayed that.
The strange pull he felt toward Yn was unlike anything he had experienced before. It frustrated him. It confused him.
He glanced at the passenger seat, imagining Yn sitting there beside him, and he cursed under his breath. What kind of power does she have over me?
Taehyung gritted his teeth, trying to shove those thoughts aside as he sped back toward his office.
The world of power, control, and the mafia, that’s where he belonged. Not with this woman who was beginning to cloud his every thought.
But no matter how much he tried to deny it, one truth echoed louder than all his doubts: 'I cant wait to see her again.'
The evening fell silent as Yn left the store, her footsteps echoing along the deserted streets.
The air was cool, and the dim glow of the streetlights barely illuminated her path. Though the distance between the store and her home was walkable, something felt off.
An eerie chill crept up her spine, but she shook it off, her mind consumed by thoughts of Taehyung.
How am I going to survive being married to him?
The image of him in the changing room replayed in her head, the way he kissed her, cold and possessive, yet there was something deeper behind it.
It confused her, made her feel like maybe, just maybe, he cared more than he let on.
"I’ll try to change him," she whispered to herself, a bitter smile forming on her lips. Only two more days until the wedding....
But as she walked, lost in her thoughts, everything changed in an instant.
A plastic bag was suddenly thrown over her head, and before she could react, she was pulled into darkness.
Panic surged through her as she struggled, trying to scream, trying to fight, but the hands gripping her were too strong, too many.
She flailed, kicking and thrashing, her muffled cries lost under the plastic.
Terror gripped her heart as they dragged her towards a car parked in the shadows. Her mind raced, her vision blurred, but she couldn’t break free.
There were at least three of them, maybe more, each one grabbing her with force. She could barely move, her body pinned down as they shoved her into the back seat.
"Let me go!" she tried to scream, her voice a broken plea, but it was met with cold silence.
Then she felt it, a sharp sting on her shoulder.
A syringe.
Her heart pounded, fear surging through her veins as the drug quickly took hold.
Her body betrayed her, growing limp despite her will to fight. She tried to resist, to push back, but her limbs grew heavy, her vision fading into darkness.
The last thing she saw was the blur of the car speeding away, and then... nothing.
Everything went black.
