Halloween Party

Saturday October 31st

I didn't go to school the last two days. Yeah I know I'm being a pussy and I'm fucking up my schooling because I'm a heartbroken little bitch, yep got it. But I just couldn't do it. Being in her presence alone will just make me reminisce on everything we've done and said to each other but in reality it truly means nothing anymore. Ty's been worried but I've just been playing it off as me having my period and he stops asking questions. Boys are so weird about periods it's funny honestly.

But a good thing out of this is that it is Halloween, finally! I've already got my costume, sexy firefighter. Maira, Lucas and I went to Spirit the other day and the woman who worked there said I would look good with it. She tried to give me her number but I declined telling her I was in a relationship. I know I know, technically I'm not. But there will never be another Verena and knowing we're about to spend Thanksgiving together despite being a couple anymore, I still feel obligated to her. It felt like cheating.

Knock knock! "Yeah?" I answer and the door opens revealing Tyson in his pajamas.

"Are you staying over Mairas or Lucas's?" He asks with wings sauce on his mouth and I chuckle.

"Uh Mairas. But I'll let you know when we leave." He nods and then leaves my room. It's still very much cold so I put on the fireman jacket and hat with the fit but still just have the white 'smoky' tank top underneath with the suspenders and my timberland boots. I wonder if I should send a pic to V-Beep beep! I grab my phone and head down to Mairas car.

"Holy shit she was right you are hot!" Maira exclaims when I get in the backseat. I chuckle. "You definitely should've got her number."

"Thanks, you guys like hot too." I say with their matching costumes of Lucas being Nightwing and Maira being Starfire.

"Thank you thank you. It was actually my idea." Lucas says proudly and Maira cups his face and kisses his cheek in adoration.

"Well you killed it. Now let's go get fucked up!" I exclaim and they cheer as we drive towards Sierras house. We make it to the house after parking down the street due to everyone in the whole town basically being here. We make it to the kitchen and immediately start indulging in whatever drinks is available. I want to not remember anything.

"To getting fucked up and not giving a fuck!" Lucas yells making everyone cheers and we take our shots. "We're going to make you sure you have the best time tonight Talia."

I smile. "You better!"

2 HOURS LATER

"Ok maybe we should slow down." Maira suggests but I ignore her as Lucas, Damien a football player, Kai, and I play flip the cup.

"YES! WE WIN!" I exclaim and lift Kai up in a hug as we cheer in Lucas and Damien's face.

"You seem happy." Kai says laughing and I nod taking a sip of whatever drink is in my hand. I don't remember getting a drink but hey.

"I," hiccup. "Am. I'm single and fucked up!" Everyone cheers and she laughs. "Let's dance." I whisper in her ear. She nods and takes me to the floor. Her back immediately meets my front as we dance to Yeah! By Usher. She grabs me by the back of the neck and pulls me to her neck that smells of strawberry and sweat. Is that a good smell? I can't really tell by how drunk I am. I don't touch her as we dance except on her hand that she's not pressed on her the bottom of her stomach keeping us close.

"You know it sucks you're single again, Talia." I nod. "But maybe it could also be a good thing." She says my brows furrow in confusion and irritation because my cup is empty and I'm remembering how I much I miss Verena. Oh Verena.

"Meaning what?" She turns her body and looks into my eyes. I try to read her face but she's swaying. "Stay still." I cup her face to keep it still so I can focus on one Kai at a time.

"Tal-" her sentence is interrupted by hands pulling me away from her by my suspenders and I don't see who it is until I'm outside in the freezing cold wishing I never took off my jacket. Where'd I put that? My thoughts get interrupted by me being pushed down onto a pool side chair.

I look up and see Maira and Lucas looking down at me like two disappointed parents. "Oh no what's wrong?"

She scoffs. "You were about to kiss Kai, Talia!" Lucas says and I tilt my head.

"No I wasn't. She was talking to me and then you pulled me away. Which is rude by the way."

"Uh yeah because she was going to kiss you. That's a no no." He says and I sigh running my have down my face. "That's a mess waiting to happen. Abd what about-"

"Hey guys!" We hear Sierras voice and I pull her down to my lap with my arm wrapped around her waist. "Oh hey Talia." She says nervously and I can see her face turning red.

I smirk. "Hey. You look so good." I say referring to her in a sexy nurses outfut which is fitting since she wants to be nurse.

She blushes. "Uh thanks Talia. You do too. Uhh how much did she drink?" She asks our friends and I lean into her neck and she smells like flowers, not mint. My eyes spring open and I realize what I'm doing. "Are you ok?"

I shake my head. "Uh I need water. Excuse me." I say quickly sitting her down beside me softly and then stumbling away to find water and a quiet corner. I need to think. I get to the kitchen and go in the fridge to grab a water bottle. I start drinking it and immediately feel somewhat better. Someone bumps into me and then leaves without saying anything. Asshole. I find the steps and sit down. I continue drinking my water until I feel my eyes drooping every second. My eyes stay open long enough for me to see familiar piercing crystal blue eyes staring at me and then everything goes black.

"TALIA BABY WAKE UP!"
