"Do I have to wear this?" Lorane asked, groaning at the only outfit in her closet.

Hanging up on the rack was a green leotard, green cape, and green gloves. She was going to look ridiculous.

"Oh, come on, Lorane, don't be such a frump gus. It'll be fun!" Her mom said, waving her hand as the outfit appeared on her daughter's body. "Look at us! We match!"

"Yeah, and I would like to take a match and burn this outfit. I mean come on, Mom. What am I even supposed to be?"

"We're fortune tellers! We can see the future," Wanda said, directing her daughter to a mirror. Suddenly, Wanda conjured a green crown, placing it on her daughter's head. "There. The finishing touch. Now, let's go show your brothers!"

Lorane groaned as her mother giddily left the room. Before she could leave fully though, she noticed the tips of her hair. They were green. The same green as the walls and her outfit.

"Weird," Lorane said, brushing it off as she begrudgingly made her way downstairs.

As she walked down the stairs, Lorane immediately wanted to vomit at the sight of her parents kissing. And what the hell was her dad wearing?

"Oh my god, get a room you two," Lorane said, pushing through her parents to slouch against a wall. Worst. Holliday. Ever.

Seemingly not picking up on his daughter's suffering, Vision addressed the room. "Whaddya say, kids? Ready for that first hit of high fructose corn syrup?"

Looking over at the boys on the couch, Wanda, Vision, and Lorane watched as the twins and Pietro played a video game with candy wrappers all around.

"They may have already sampled the goods," Wanda joked. Rolling her eyes, Lorane bumped shoulders with her mother and she made her way into the kitchen. "I'm getting real tired of that teenage attitude, missy."

Lorane just ignored her as she walked to the fridge to grab...there was nothing there. Nothing in the fridge to grab.

Lorane checked the pantry, the cabinets, ever under the sink, and same story. There was no food in the house other than the candy that Pietro brought in.

Hard pass.

Iron. Lorane heard a voice in her head say. What? What does iron mean?

Iron. Iron? Like the metal?

Suddenly, her stomach erupted in hunger again. At this point, she was so hungry she would eat iron. Eat iron...wait. There are some foods with iron in them. Maybe she just needed to think of one.

Potatoes? Nah.

Steak? It's ten am.

Bananas? That works.
