Someone was wrong.

Vision hadn't returned home, Wanda was still in bed, Pietro was gone, and Lorane had two twin brothers who wouldn't leave her alone.

"Loraaaaaane, come on! Our game keeps glitching and we can't fix it!" Tommy cried.

"Why don't you two just play a board game or something?" Lorane asked, failing to walk away from Tommy as he just sped in front of her.

"Lorane, please," Billy begged, grabbing her hand. She hated to admit it, but Billy was her favorite in the family. She loved her parents and brothers, but something about Billy's innocence made her want to protect him. "Dad isn't home and mom won't get out of bed so-"

"What?"

Before the boys could continue speaking, Lorane jogged up the stairs and barged into her mother's bedroom. Disturbingly, there w asa giant Wanda sized lump underneath the covers, wallowing in misery.

"Oh dear god," Lorane muttered under her breath. "Mom...you good under there?"

"Our game is freaking out," Billy said, trying to coax out his mother.

"Is she asleep?" Tommy asked, leaning over to Lorane.

"Mommy's not sleeping honey. She's just...resting her eyes," Wanda said underneath the covers.

"Mom, my head feels weird," Billy said, walking closer to the bed. "It's, like, really noisy. I don't like it."

Oh no, Lorane thought. He can reads mine like mom. Oh my god is he reading my mind right now? This is so weird.

After what seemed like a lifetime, Wanda finally came down from her bedroom. "Have you seen your dad?"

"Um, no," Tommy replied. Billy turned to his mother, finally a little hopeful. "Do you wanna go look for him?"

"Well," Wanda sighed. "if he doesn't wanna be here, there's nothing I can do about it."

Lorane looked up at her mother, trying to give her a scolding look. Why would she say something like that in front of the boys? They were only five for a few hours, they can understand things now.

"Hey, Mom," Billy said. "last night, Uncle P said that thing about re-killing Dad?"

"Don't believe anything that man said," Wanda demanded, pointing a finger at her three children. "He is not your uncle?"

"Who is he?" Lorane asked, feeling compelled to ask.

Who is he?

Who am I?

Where am I?

Who-

"Here's the thing, kids," Wanda said, interrupting her thoughts. "I'm your mom. And as such, you are counting on me to have all the answers, right? Well, I don't. I have...no answers. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Niente.
