"How did we get so lucky" Daryl asked holding the baby's hand "we have both lost enough, it's time we won a little, don't you think?" He leaned in and kisses you with so much passion "thank you" he whispered against your lips "what are you thanking me for" " you gave me her you showed me what love is you love me, I was just a dirty red neck to so many people Merle always told me I'd have no one" you looked at him "hey you are not a dirty redneck, you are the best thing to ever happen to me Rick the kids, your the best uncle and leader of this group, I love you so much" he smiled over at you "I love you so much baby, soo... have you thought about a name" you looked at him and smiled "well I know that she isn't technically a grimes but I'd like that name to be in there somewhere, so she feels related in some ways to Carl and Judy" Daryl looked over to you and nodded.

"I was going to suggest maybe Dixon-grimes, for short they would call her Dixon but officially she's a grimes aswell" you held his face with your hand "you are so understanding I couldn't thank you enough" he looked at you in your eyes "those kids are yours lyric I know that, they are grimes they will all be siblings wether biological or not, they are all our kids and we will all look after each and everyone, those kids are lucky they technically have 4 parents me you Rick and michonne, those kids will always be protected, now I have no ideas on girl names so hopefully you do" you nodded knowing he was right " they do have all of us , thank you dar... but I was thinking my name is different and musical, so I was thinking maybe she could be to"

He looked at you and smiled "I think that's a great idea baby" we looked down at her "so maybe and we don't have to because it's your choice to" you was cut off "baby your rambling" you laughed "okay, um maybe she can be called Melody Dixon-Grimes" you technically asked whilst looking at him, he looked from you to your little girl "Melody" the room fell silent after Daryl spoke "Melody Dixon- Grimes, I love it! Our little Melody" Daryl grabbed your face and pulled you into a romantic kiss " I love you dar with my whole heart" "I love you so much my beautiful lady and you baby girl I love you sooo much to, daddy will always protect you" tears spilled from your eyes and rolled down your cheeks as you cuddled into your man.

It was the next morning everyone knew by now that you had the baby and everyone stayed back and stayed out the way, you and Daryl was getting ready to leave the hospital room in one of the houses to go back to your home where Rick michonne Judy and Carl was, "you ready baby" Daryl came up to you grabbing all your bags back off your shoulder "you don't need to be carrying anything but our girl you understand me" he winks over to you "dar iv had a baby I can still carry bags" he laughed "not on my watch baby" we walked out and down the road slowly walking closer to your house, people stood and stared you smiled in there direction they all stayed out the way though which you appreciated you wanted the others to fully meet baby before anyone else did.

You and Daryl walked through the house holding Melody as you hear footsteps run down stairs " mama your home" Judith runs to your legs Carl Rick and michonne was down seconds later all pulling you into a hug and then Daryl "how you feeling mum" Carl smiled at you wrapping an arm around your shoulders " I'm okay baby thank you, now who wants to meet there sister" Judy ran and sat on the sofa "me! Me mama I want to" she shouted as you giggled "Jude be quiet she's only tiny don't scare her" Rick softly told her as she grinned back clearly excited you lowered the baby down onto her lap as she gasped and watched her new little sister " woooow she's so pretty" "she is isn't she beautiful" Daryl nelt down next to her and spoke

" boot, boot it full" we all giggled at how Judy spoke trying to pronounce the new word Rick came up to you and pulled you into a massive hug you wrapped your arms around his waist as he kissed your head and you rested yours on his chest " I'm so proud of you Lee" you smiled "I was terrified" "I know Carl said about Lori" you nodded "what happened to Lori was hard, she's had a c section with Carl so it makes sense she'd need one for Judith but you was so brave and handled it like a boss and she is perfect" you squeezed him "thank you, you aswell michonne you helped me when the men wasn't here I'll forever be grateful" she smiled back and pulled you into another hug.

You walked up to Carl and hugged him "i love you" you whispered into his ear "I love you more mum" tears filled your eyes "how about we let Carl have a cuddle" they both switched as we all sat and talked about everything before Rick stood " right uncle ricks turn" you grinned "so we have been talking for ages and you haven't mentioned her name does she not have one yet" Rick questioned you both "uhh yeah she has a name, it's Melody" they all stared and grinned before all jumping in and Saying they loved it " something musical to match her mama" Daryl smiled next to you " Melody Dixon-Grimes"

Rick and Carl stared at you not speaking "I mean it's your name so obviously if you don't like it we will take it out, but I figured they call me mum I want them all to have the same name pretty much and be proper siblings even if they aren't biologically related but we can ...we can change it if you guys do-" you was cut off by ricks voice "it's an honour for my name to be in hers, I have no problem at all with it, she is our family she always will be, Melody Dixon-Grimes is a beautiful name welcome to the family" you grinned over with tears in your eyes yet again "yeah she's my little sister just like Judy so for her to have our last name aswell as uncle Daryl's I love it" you breath out knowing they all approve laid back on the sofa cuddled into Daryl looking over everyone you loved and fell aswell peacefully
