The bridge

You was trotting up the road very close to the bridge when distant shouts where heard you galloped in seeing the saviours punch alden in the face, you pushed through on your horse making everyone back away and stare at you, you help your gun out watching Carol and others line the back of you as you jumped down off your horse "I thought you was now suppose to be our leader" Jed spoke looking down on you "enough" you glared up at the man "turn around all of you" you spoke up "no can do, lyric, why don't you go ahead and yank that roscoe, pop me right here? it's better than worrying about getting it in the back." Carol and others pulled out there guns before saviours walked back.

Laura stepped forward, "we don't want this, hey we just need to protect ourselves" Jed walked up into your face "you better step the fuck away from her if you want to live to see tomorrow, and no fucking guns" Daryl's voice came out above everyone's you turned to see him on the hill looking from you and the saviours butterflies from seeing him circles your belly "that cause your the one who took out Justin" dj argues "nah my moneys on garbage lady" another spoke "revenge for Simon's play, sure." Regina agreed, "no it's him finishing what he started" DJ spoke again walking to a axe picking it up before another one ran to him "hey, hey stop it's gonna go to far" she fears "nah it won't" Daryl spoke up

Melody started to whine as saviors walked closer ready to fight you didn't know what to do, scared for Daryl and Melody as you couldn't fight properly, a horse neigh came along with Rick and his python "everyone back off" he spoke staring at everyone before making eye contact with you and nodding Laura spoke to the saviours to back off as Arden said he'd talk to Rick to make everyone feel safe, Jed gave you a dirty look shook his head and left.

Daryl walked up to you "what are you doing here, you can't just leave on your own, you or Melody could have gotten hurt" you smiled "rick told me you was struggling, I can't have my man out here having a bad time plus melody wanted to see daddy, and well so did I" you answered walking into the woods with him to get privacy "well as much as I'm mad about you comming alone, I'm fucking glad your here" he pulled you into a long soft kiss and hugged you and his baby girl

You was sat talking with Daryl when Rick walked over to us "go ahead ask" Daryl spoke first "that wound on Justin...looks like a puncture I wondered if it could be from a knife but it's small round and clean, kinda looks like an arrow hit him or a bolt" you stared at the men hating how your boyfriend and bestfriend wasn't getting along lately "is this the kind of shit you used to do" Daryl spoke up "when I had to" Rick nodded, Daryl looked at me and melody before looking back at Rick " you really think I did it" "no but others do so I'm making sure" you knew he was just trying to make things work but blaming Daryl wasn't on "if he would have done it, we all know it would have been on plain sight, come on Rick you know this" he looked at the floor "I don't know who it was, but I know why and so do you, bringing all these people together it was always gonna happen" Daryl stepped in again "no it was the right thing to do, the future belongs to all of us now"

"Why do they get this future I mean Glenn don't, or Abraham or Sasha all the people the kingdom lost, hilltop, ocean side you ever think about what they want? What they'd do if they could" you felt bad not speaking up and killing Negan, you felt bad about liking him slightly well the him that he shows no one "I have for a long time I wanted it to maybe more than anyone, but killing  each other when the world already belongs to the dead, it's not the way, not anymore" Rick finished "come on we should go work that grid" Daryl spoke to you "Daryl I know you don't agree with everything we're doing here. All I ask is that you try, do it, let people see it and maybe everyone moves past what happened and maybe just maybe it will be one of the best decisions you ever made, like not killing the guy who left your brother on a rooftop to die" he walked off after his speech "come on dar" you grabbed his hand and walked away aswell.

Michonne asked to watch melody which you agreed to so you could go help Maggie take out a sign that was drawing more and more walkers "you watch your back lyric I mean it I don't want to loose you" Daryl whispered "hey you never call me lyric" you pouted "promise baby" you grinned " I promise my dar bear" he laughed loudly at the nickname and kissed you hard grabbing your ass "you know it's been so long since we had sex" you cringed as he spoke "it's a touchy subject dar, I didn't know if you wanted to ever have sex with me again after well yanno, and I'm not 6 weeks post baby yet next week I will be, but I don't want to rush you" he smiled softly at you "your never rush me, it's a little akward but I love you way more than letting that get in our way" you hugged him "I love you so much dar"
