"Is that all you got" "I got things to do Negan" he looked at you " well I want you to stay and talk to me if you want me to eat, I mean I'm proof your making civilisation right, hard to do that if I'm dead right" you looked at him "I thought you said you wasn't on strike."  He looked you in the eyes "I'm not if you stay and talk to me" you decided to stay "id say it's about 20 minutes till sun hits that bar, that's all you get, then you will eat every last bite. You wonna talk"  you grabbed a chair and sat down "let's talk"

Rick and Daryl had a fight and was now stuck in a mud ditch arguing about how Daryl stopped him going after Maggie "I know what seeing him dead means to her" Daryl spoke "Daryl, I get why she can't accept it, I do. Her never comming to Alexandria her hanging Gregory the way she did, I know, I'm not blind." Daryl walked back and forth "well you sure as hell been acting like it, man your ass wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Glenn you wouldn't have found Lori and Carl me and the others hell wouldn't have found lyric, he did that or did you forget" Rick stared at him "of course not I think about that every damn day and Maggie I hate what I took from her but it's what I had to do" "she's doing what the hell she has to do" Daryl snapped back

"What are your ok with that" Rick questioned " why the hell wouldn't I be" Rick stared at Daryl " you spared Dwight after Denise after what he did to you" "what you mean locking me in a  closest, dragging  me around so I couldn't say nothing, man, you got that guy sitting in a cell like a damn symbol to all the, assholes  who can't wait to see things go back to the way they were" Daryl snapped "keeping him alive is how we make sure it won't! I know he took a lot from you he took lyric she had to do things you don't want to think about but she's back and she's okay  and you have melody now" "no keeping him alive is giving them hope that it will, what lyric had to do I get it okay she neeed to do it, but I hate that man for even giving her a reason to do it, if he wasn't here she wouldn't of had to leave and be with him to protect the kids" Rick looked at him he knew where he was coming from he's of felt the same.

"Michonne talked to her, she came to the camp. She was comming around" "yeah well she was trying, the truth is she just couldn't live with it. Just like Oceanside" "Oceanside, you saying Oceanside killed those saviours ...arat" Daryl looked at him " I'm saying they got what they deserved" "you knew and you didn't say anything" Rick asked Daryl with disbelief "if this doesn't work and she kills Negan he becomes a martyr, the war was for nothing. People died for nothing". Rick breaks down Daryl stared at him, "what about the rest of us, you don't think after all the shit we been through we couldn't handle it, man you keep asking us to have faith in all these other people truth is you don't have enough faith in us" "you know that's... that not true" they both looked at each other "I'd die for you, your name is in my baby girls name, your kids I will look after like my own, I would die for them lyric will. But you got to hear me you chasing something that ain't meant to be man, let him go"

Alexandria

"Damn you the one stuck in here while Rick and his merry band of bridge builders are out there, why is that" you looked at him "you think I'm stuck" "I think that I'm not meant to be rotting in this cell just like I think the worrier in you is not meant to be planting kale and kissing boo boos." "You  don't know me Negan, the lyric you knew was fake I out here together, I'm a mother I kiss boo boos but we are reordering the world, iv been out to the bridge iv helped but my kids come first. We're rebuilding government and creating laws. While your rotting in here with nothing" he huffed and sighed "I am uhh grateful my wife can't see me like this" you laughed "what you mean as allowed to the asshole you was before" "god she was, she was an angel she deserved better than she got"

"What happened to her" you questioned him "what used to happen, cancer... we would've loved to have had a kid. Loved to have a kid just like Carl, you are lucky"  you smiled " I am he's an amazing kid, I'm glad I met him all those years ago"  you stood up and walked out knowing the conversation had to be over you couldn't have him make you feel sorry for him, you agreed with Rick but you more so agreed with Daryl he was your life partner, how he felt meant everything to you.

Rick helped Daryl out of the mud ditch, walkers everywhere as they killed a few, a white horse in the road came out of no where "Coe, on let's go" Daryl spoke "wait I'm gonna stay back lead them away from the camp" Daryl looked at him shocked "what" "I'm staying" "no man" Daryl shouted fear of the unknown going through him "lyric the kids michonne me, take the, to the bridge it won't hold" " I'm not giving up on it not yet, I'm not giving up on them or you" Rick spoke walking to him "there ain't no other way man"  Daryl stressed "I'm not destroying the bridge, we need it" "fine" Daryl agreed reluctantly "hey be safe" he told Rick "you to" Rick answered.
