Chapter 25: Oh No

Ivy's POV

There I sat, on the edge of a balcony. The moon glinted against the stars and the sky was the colour of twilight. I was all alone. Away from the bustling crowd that was the Masquerade.
"Ivory?"
I knew that voice......I knew him all too well.
"Hello..."

"Ivy! It's been too long!"
He said grabbing me, and twirling around until he could finally drop me into a dip. He lingered longer than he needed too. His mask was so close to my face, his lips pondered the thought of kissing mine, but he left me be, and out me back into my upright position.
"Well, Alex, I didn't expect to see you here...."

"Ivory, It's been far too long......The last time I saw you was under the tree........"

"Well.....That was a long time ago....I mean look at you now,married and all"

"Ivory, if your sister had given you some of the money, I would have been able to marry you, and you know that! I've always loved you Ivory!"

"Life isn't a fairytale.......You're happy now. you have a family, a thriving business-"

"But I don't have you!"

"Oh, Alex, you were always so blind.....Don't you see you can never be together! You have your wife, your twins! You can't live them for me....."

"It was only a marriage of convenience!"
I couldn't stay there much longer. I loved Alex once. Our families planned to have us marry. Its all I thought of since I was a kid. We were childhood best friends, but then my parents died and our plans went to shit. I tried to walk away from him but he grabbed my hand.
"Ivory, I promise one day, I will leave it all.......All for you. I will come live with you in America"

"You still don't understand, do you? You may talk all you want, but you will never do anything!"

"The next time I see you, I will be able to call you, mine"

"Or, I'll be wearing a ring, and I won't be yours"
Just then, Bang! I grabs me and places his lips gently on mine and with that I find myself back home, in bed, with Hannibal. Ah.....Hannibal....He's all mine. I realised that I had over slept. Shit! I had to go to the doctor today. I had a stupid check up. I refused to go to my last 3, so I had to go today. I quickly got up and went into our walk in wardrobe. I put on something light and then went downstairs, got a granola bar and ran.
Surprisingly, I was only 30 minutes late. Dr. Higgins wasn't surprised.
"Ivy, good to see you again"

"Hello Doc. Ok, let's just get this over with"

"I know you don't like this, but it's for your own good. Now fill out this form, and we can get started"
I filled it out and handed it back to him.
"I see......New love in your life, eh?"

"Yes, actually"

"Good for you! I see you're back working. Its great to see you're getting back out there"

"Yes, yes, yes, so when are we getting to the probing part"
He laughed at this part. I could tell this was a different kind of check up.
"Don't worry, none of that today. Only a blood sample and a urine sample, that's all"
He got me ready for the blood test, and then finally handed me the stupid piss pot. It always felt weird handing someone my piss. It usually takes him a few minutes to analyse the pot, but he was gone for far too long. When he finally came back, he had an odd look on his face.
"You sure took your time, have fun with my piss pot?"

"Miss Lane, I don't know how to say this, but......"

"Come on! Spit it out. What's wrong with me now?"

"Well, Congratulations! Ivy you're pregnant!"
Holy fuck..........Im...Im pregnant. Oh dear god......How am I ment to brake this to Hannibal? Yeah, um, remember when I said I wasn't pregnant, yeah, haha, funny thing is I'm actually pregnant. So yeah, ready to be a father.
"Um......Just a little question, how far along am I?"

"Well you are actually, 3 months. You're not showing at all, and have you had any clue you were pregnant?"

"Well yes, I took a test but it said....."

"Tests aren't always right. I'll book you in for a scan, shall we say in 2 weeks?"

"Um, sure ok"
I was still very dazed. I mean I was just told I'm pregnant!
"Doc, another question, Will my little wound effect the pregnancy?"

"Well that's just the thing......It will. It's hard to say how bad it could effect you, but let's just leave that for now. You should just enjoy the ride for now. Now, have a good day!"
I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant! I am pregnant!!!!!! Oh no, oh no! Jacks going to flip, Hannibal's going to be a daddy, oh my fucking God! I'm going to be a mother! Oh no........
