Chapter 14: Do You See?

Hannibal'sI  POV
All the way home, my mind was wandering. Ivy had kissed me again.What on earth is going on in her head? She tells me she hates me and then she does things like this. Such an odd girl, but still I want her to be my girl.
I had an appointment with Bella today. Shes was just as weak as Jack is. It seems like they are bound to each other. It's so sad to see this couple be destroyed by themselves.

When I arrived at my house, I got a sudden chill. I decided to go down and check the celler. That guy had just given up before I went down. I just miss it! I could have watched as the life slowly left him. I stood there only a moment before realising I had business to deal with. I rushed up just in time to let Bella in. She put on a brave face and let out a smile. She looked so weak and I had to help her across the room. When she was seated she handed me a gift. Inside was a coin with a rooster  on it.
"I've come to pay my death"

"What have you taken?"

"My morphaine. All of it"

"What about Jack?"

"Because I love him, I'm saving him a painful goodbye"

"You have left him with a heavy heart, which is worse than your death"

"This is what you do for love......You don't leave them in pain......You're not in love.....You won't understand"
Her breathing was hitched. The life was slowly leaving her.
"Goodbye.......Hannibal"

"Goodbye Bella"
I watched her for a moment.
"Don't you see Bella, I am in love. I'm in love with your 'Daughter'"

Ivy's POV

I sat there in my corner, my head in some file from 7 years ago. It was the saddest file I had ever read. A child who was only 16 was murdered and chucked off a cliff. No attempt to hide the body, just thrown off like she was nothing. Her best friend is looking to be responsible but maybe there was 2.........
The whole room was dark except for my corner. I heard soft footsteps approach my section.
"Ivy?" Said Beverly

"Yes?"

"Where's Jack?

"He went to the hospital. Bella went in. Why?"

"Oh god what happened?!"

"Don't know Hannibal rang me and asked me to get Jack. Jack wouldn't let me go"

"So Hannibal's at the Hospital?"

"Yeah, why? Girl what has gotten into you!"

"Will told me something that's changed something in me"

"What did he say?"

"Hannibal is not what he seems"
With that she ran. What had gotten into her! She was so spaced and out there. Hannibal is not what he seems........These words seemed to linger longer than they should.
I found myself the last person in the building. It was very late and I had stayed up too long on that poor girls case. On my long drive home, I felt so tempted to stop by Hannibal's house. I thought I better not, still not to sure of my feelings, what would he think of my visit.

Hannibal's POV

Arriving home, I found my front door open. Beverly's car was sitting in my parking spot. Naughty girl....The lights were not on and I had hoped she hadn't found anything yet. I took off my shoes and quietly made my way to the kitchen. My secret pantry was wide open. She was really in the danger zone now. I went further down, to see the lights on in the celler. Oh you poor girl, now you've really done it....
I made my way down, making sure she did not hear me. She stood there in horror as my latest victim was strung up like a puppet. She made her way to run but she was too late. She met my eyes from across the room. There's no going back now. I quickly hit the lights and ran towards her. She shot 3 times then stop.....Well by stopped I mean she stopped breathing. Strangling is never easy, it always takes time. You may pass out if you're lucky, but for Katz she looked me in the eye as the life left her.
This is how I intend to show her off, can you see me now? Look closer... Look into her eyes? Do you see?
