CHAPTER 11

"STOP IT!!! I NEED TO FUCKING KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THERE DOWNSTAIRS!!!" Raena screams on top of her lungs.

Seungcheol stopped what he was doing and stared at Raena with wide eyes.

"We both were walking down the basement, when this guy tripped and both of us fell. I got up and took the torch back and looked for the main switch. I somehow managed to get back the electricity and when the lights turned on, i was shocked to see that woman's body tied to the ropes and hanging. He immediately shot the woman and tried to shoot me but i threw the torch at him and he lost the grip on the gun." Seungcheol spoke and was about to speak again but jeonghan interrupted

"he's lying! Thats not what happened" "SHUT UP!!" Raena yelled at Jeonghan for interrupting "and then?" She asked Seungcheol with an eye brow raised "I grabbed the torch and hit him on his forehead" Seungcheol explained every single detail he remembered of what happened.

"Now you tell me! You were so eager to explain right, now explain." She said to Jeonghan with mockery. "As he said, i tripped and we both fell. I was searching for my glasses when he got up and meddled with the main switch or fuse or whatever..and when the lights came back, i didn't expect to see that woman's body. When i turned to seungcheol he suddenly hit me on my forehead. I don't remember what happened after that, i was unconscious." Jeonghan explained and looked away from them But then a look of realisation came on his face. "What if the girl is still alive..?" He said

As soon as he said that, Seungcheol ran to the basement. "Raena don't let him go there!!! He will kill her.!!" Jeonghan shouted

Raena ran after Seungcheol and entered to basement to see Seungcheol laying beside the woman's dead body. She let out a scream with fear and covered her eyes to block the brutal view in front of her. Seungcheol got up from his place and moved towards Raena while she was moving walking back and crying

"She-she was dead before i even arrived. Please believe me Raena, i didnt do anything to her" he said while tears were streaming down his face. No sooner jeonghan also entered the basement to see seungcheol nearing Raena. "Seungcheol!! Move away from her! Don't do anything to her! Please.." he pleadswhile standing between both of them.

Seungcheol pushed jeonghan away and held Raena's hands as she was struggling to get out of his grip.
"Do-dont do anything to her!!" Jeonghan says trying to pull seungcheol away from her

"Raena. Raena look at me! Please!! Do you think i would've done it?!" He exclaims while Raena closed her eyes tightly while crying

"Just-just don't do anything to her!! Kill me if you want!! But please leave her!!" Jeonghan requests standing beside Raena. Seungcheol got really annoyed by Jeonghan and punched him in the stomach. He was groaning in pain but still managed to stand between Raena and Seungcheol. This time Seungcheol was really furious and threw Jeonghan to the ground and he stayed there in pain due to the impact

Seungcheol pinned Raena to the wall, " Raena please look at me..I didn't do anything to her..please believe me." He says while Raena was crying loudly

"Raena!! Just leave!! He only kills women! He wont kill me!!" Jeonghan yells as Seungcheol looks at him and moves away from Raena and makes his way towards him, while she looks at them in horror. "Oh yeah.. is that what you think?? Let me show you that i can kill men too then!! I'll kill you just like you killed her!!" Seungcheol smirks and lands a punch on jeonghan's face.

He continued to punch him while Raena saw the opportunity and leaves the basement. She immediately went to the room where she was hiding earlier, grabbed the gun that she left there earlier. She stared at the gun and made way to the basement and looked at Seungcheol with tears streaming down her face.

He looked at Raena holding the gun with shaking hands and smirked. He went towards her and pulled out the gun from her hands. "Had i been responsible for all this, i wouldnt have wasted my time talking!!! I had the gun with me!! I could've killed you both!! He shouts at her while she was standing there with a blank expression

Jeonghan, who was badly beaten by Seungcheol spats some blood due to the punches. "Leave Raena, just leave from here. I know that he wont kill me" He says weakly.

"I cant believe you made her turn against me!" Seungcheol scoffs

Raena walked out of the basement with Seungcheol behind, pointing the gun towards her with Jeonghan in a chokehold. He was dragging jeonghan and making Raena walk forward and lead them to the backyard

In the heavy rain, once they reached the backyard, seungcheol threw jeonghan to the ground and started digging a pit with a shovel that was lying there, to burry him alive. Raena was standing there silently crying hoping this all would be a nightmare, but deep down she knows that this is the reality.

Seungcheol without thinking placed the gun on the ground and went back to digging. Raena noticed the gun and silently grabbed it. She tried to leave without making him notice and ran inside the house

But to her dismay, seungcheol notice the absence of his gun and her and frantically looked around but didnt find her anywhere. He assumed she went back and threw the shovel aside and went inside what he didn't notice was Jeonghan trying to untie himself

Raena sat down near the landline phone and tried to fix it. She wasn't able to do anything but didn't give up. Now her only hope is this landline phone. She can try to escape from here, but she was sure Seungcheol would catch her, just like now. He was standing in front of her, while she grabbed the gun and pointed it at him "dont come close.." she said with a trembling voice and moved back. He didn't listen to her and walked towards her.

"I said dont come close!" She shouts and started crying. As he didnt stop she pointed the gun to her temple and cried harder. He quickly walked towards her and grabbed her arms before she could something stupid "Raena, please look at me. I cant see you like this.. just trust me, we'll get out of here.." he said with tears in his eyes

She was struggling to get free but he only tightens the grip around her arms. "Go awayy!!" She grunts while crying. "Just listen to me.." "leave me seungcheol!" Raena exclaims before she hears a gunshot.

Seungcheol's grip loosens as they both look at his stomach, blood oozing out. He leaves her arms and falls to the floor. "S-seungcheol.." seeing the love of her life get shot by her own hands, was traumatising for Raena, making her cry more harder and louder.

His breath becomes uneven while he gestures her to leave from here. She stood there like a statue, her arms lowering when Seungcheol looks behind.

Jeonghan slowly comes from behind and holds the gun and still standing behind her. He makes her angle the gun to seungcheol while her hands were trembling

"The truth that Seungcheol sought...and the answer that Raena asked for..is me"

he says with a sly smirk and pulls the trigger. Along with the thunder, another shot was also heard in that estate that night
