CHAPTER 9

Seungcheol left Raena and went down to see the man try to get up and escape. Seungcheol rolled his eyes at the guy's failed attempt and went near the bar area to pour himself a glass of whiskey. He gulped down the drink and immediately went towards the man and lifted him with his collar and was about to punch him but felt Raena's presence behind and turned around

He threw the man to the ground and went to pour another glass of whiskey for himself. Raena rolled her eyes at seungcheol and tried to lift the man from the ground.

While grunting and struggling she managed to make him sit on of the dining table's chair. She went towards the bar area and grabbed the whiskey bottle and a cloth that was lying there

She poured the whiskey on the cloth and wiped the guy's wound on his forehead, making him hiss in pain and lean away from the cloth. She tried to wipe his wound again but this time the pain was a lot that he pulled away and grunted. She threw the cloth on the table while seungcheol was frowning and burning in jealousy

"Can i get a drink Raena..?" The man asked hesitatingly. She glared at him and grabbed the glass from the table and poured some whiskey and kept in front of him

He was looking at her awkwardly when she rolled her eyes and grabbed the glass and made him drink it. She was about to stop when he said "a little more.." she made him drink it and slammed the glass on the table

"I dont know what he told when you were upstairs. But, we need to escape. He cant be trusted!" The man said after gulping "what did you say..? Huh what were you saying?!" Seungcheol walked towards the man with anger while he stood up from his place and went behind raena who was trying to stop seungcheol

"Seungcheol..i'll ask him! Now go there!!" She said trying to stop him while he just grabbed the whiskey bottle and stood a little far from them. She grabbed the man's arm and pushed him not so hard to sit in his previous seat

"Now..tell me. Who are you??" She questioned him. "I'm a thief Raena.." he replied to her "whats your name?" "Jeonghan." He replied

"what?" Seungcheol asked and jeonghan repeated his name while turning to seungcheol. "Oh what a nice name" seungcheol smiled with sarcasm dripping his tone

"Do you have any Id card?" Raena inquired him "yeah right! As if thieves carry around their ID cards" seungcheol said while rolling his eyes. "Arent you a lawyer..? You know that people like us destroy evidence, when we do such things" jeonghan said with a smile playing on his lips.

"Do you do it while stealing or Killing??" Seungcheol asked while frowning "if you were a thief...why did you open the door for us?" Raena asked him while seungcheol gritted his teeth for ignoring him

"In a moment of desperation i got stuck in front of you.." he said while looking down "Then how long have you——" "—why are you asking me all the questions?? Ask him too!! Ask him why he brought his phone!!" He interrupted her

"To set an alarm. To set the alarm for surprise." Seungcheol replied before raena could ask hom

"The surprise isnt over yet, Raena.." Jeonghan said with an amused smile "yes! There is a surprise!" Seungcheol said while going through his pockets but frowned as he found nothing and went to get his jacket which was lying on the couch.

"His phone location shows that he is at his house. And yours, at your home. Everyone would assume you were at home. Did you tell anyone that you were coming here?" Jeonghan reminds her while staring deep into her soul.

Seungcheol came back with his jacket and took out a ring box from his jacket pockets. He opened the box and said "this..is the surprise. I brought you here to propose to you" seungcheol said with a trembling tone

Raena collapsed on one of the dining table's chair and held her head in her palms. "Wont the ring fit if you're holding the phone?" Jeonghan asks gaslighting her

"You came here to steal right?? You're a thief right?? Then why didnt you escape after stealing?? What did you even steal huh!?!" Seungcheol asked with anger building inside, walking towards jeonghan while rolling his shirt sleeves.

"Tell me what did you steal??" He asks with anger close to punching him while the man moved away from him "seungcheol please stop!!" Raena yelled being very irritated by him he calmed down and backed away when Raean took a deep breath and asked Jeonghan with a calm voice

"What did you steal?" "ISNT THAT WHAT I ASKED?!?!" Seungcheol yelled being frustrated by his woman's behaviour "Seungcheol please..! You asked me to decide right? Now give me a chance to do it!! You just go there and stand!!" She pursed her lips and said and he left with a frown

"For how long have you been here?" She asked jeonghan with more of a soft tone. "Around 2-3 hrs." He Replied while not making eye contact with her

"So you must've had a lot of time to go around the house. You must've gone to the basement as well." She questions him while frowning "i did..but i didnt enter as it was dark. I'm afraid of the dark Raena.." He said finally looking into her eyes

"You have an answer for everything!! Then why cant you just fucking say what you've stolen!!" She exclaims being done with him and his answers

He looked at seungcheol who was looking at them and looked at her before looking down and answering "i've stolen.." he said "we all know that!! What exactly did you steal?!?!" She said while clenching her jaw

"I-i cant reveal what i stole!" He said and shooked his head and looked at seungcheol again

"I'm not going to believe unless you tell me what you've stolen!" Raena said shaking her head while he turns to him again before exclaiming,

"Call the cops!! I'll tell them what i've stollen when they arrive!!" Jeonghan exclaims
