--Even Though I Could Drown--

There’s something about
how the sea draws me in
much like your eyes
even though I know I could drown
I’m always going to try to swim

Bakugo kept sneaking glances over at Mio. The class decided to go to a restaurant for dinner. They were really excited when Mr. Aizawa gave them permission to. Yayarozu said it was her treat and took everyone to a semi fancy dinner place.

Everyone dressed up nice for the occasion. Though, their personalities and actions didn't match the way they were dressed. Except for Mio. She looked so elegant. Like the word was created just for her. If you searched up the word elegant or beautiful, she would be the first thing to pop up. At least, that's what Bakugo thought.

He admired her from across the table. She had curled her bangs and curled the ends of her hair. She had a short black dress that stopped mid thigh. The dress had a v-neck and long sleeves. Her shoulders and collarbone were on full display. She decorated her neck with a pearl necklace, and she wore matching pearl earrings. She also had matching heels and a matching clutch.

Everyone ate something different. Yayarozu ate the fanciest thing on the menu while Kaminari ate chicken nuggets. Mio laughed when he ordered it. I mean, who wouldn't?

Mio noticed his constant staring. She straightened her back and ate her food. She was trying to control her face from heating up. She definitely didn't need that at the moment. He made her so nervous.

Mio thought Bakugo looked extra handsome for dinner. He wore a black dress shirt and matching dress pants. She thought he looked so handsome.

They accidentally made eye contact, and she melted under his gaze. His vermillion eyes were a deep, bloody ocean that she wanted to explore.

Bakugo stared deep into her pink eyes. They reminded him of the stars in the night sky. He thought about how the sun must be jealous of how much she shines.

Mina called Mio's name, making the girl break the eye contact they were holding. Bakugo had to tear his eyes away from his childhood best friend to continue his conversation with Kirishima. His best friend knew exactly what was happening but chose to stay silent.

Kirishima wanted him to tell him.
