Ch-14 Brutal Showdown: Son Vs. Father

11:25PM

Alexie is damaged, and Lei is on the verge of death.

All who remain are Leonid and Nicholas.

11th August 2004

"I want to be the one to kill Ivan," said Nicholas.

"It's my only motive in life; I'd be happy to accept death after killing him, but first I want to kill him." Said Nicholas

"You can kill him; all we want is him dead." Said Aleksander

"He's all yours," said Leonid.

11:30 PM

"Leave it to me, Leonid." Said Nicholas

"IVAN" Shouted Nicholas

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH YOU HAVE DRIVEN ME INSANE, IVAN?"

"DO YOU KNOW ALL THE PAIN AND SUFFER?" Shouted Nicholas

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE NICHOLAS, BECAUSE ALL YOU ARE TO ME IS A LITTLE BRAT, A LITTLE MISTAKE OF MINE, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE HUGE. I WAS NOT EXPECTING YOU TO GIVE INTO TERRORISTS. YOU ARE AT THE LOWEST OF YOUR LIFE," shouted Ivan

"You're about to be 6 feet low, unc" said Nicholas.

"You are not surviving," said Ivan.

"I am superior," said Nicholas.

Nicholas charges at Ivan; he swings a punch at Ivan, but Ivan blocks it. Ivan picks up Nicholas by the shirt and throws him across the room. Nicholas stands up and charges towards Ivan once again. When he's close, he jumps and kicks his face in his eyes. Ivan's eyes start bleeding.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT THE BURDEN AND RESPONSIBILITY UPON MY HEAD NICHOLAS?" Asked Ivan

"I don't, and I don't care" Responded Nicholas

They both charged at each other, exchanging several punches. Nicholas punches Ivan's gut.

Punch after punch, both of them got weaker.

Ivan punches Nicholas with full strength, flinging him across the whole room. Both are in critical condition. They both charge at each other again. Nicholas kicks Ivan, making him fall down. He starts kicking Ivan's head. Ivan grabs his legs, throws him away, and gets up.

They both are covered in blood, both theirs and others. Ivan charges at a very weak Nicholas. Nicholas jumps and kicks Ivan's face once again and lands perfectly. Both are at a dire stage.

16th August 2004

"I promise you we won't interfere in the fight between you and Ivan. Even if you die."

This promise prevented Leonid from interfering in the fight of Ivan and Nicholas.

Nicholas punches Ivan so hard, right in the core of the stomach, he spits blood and falls down.

That's when Ivan Makhilov, a veteran of the Russo-Finnish war and the current chief guardian of the Guardian Corps, felt true fear for the first time.

He immediately pulled out a small, 1-bullet revolver and shot it. Ivan's body, in such a desperate state, could not afford to miss the shot, but he only had 1 second to shoot it. Thanks to his battle experience, he was able to shoot it in a matter of seconds, piercing Nicholas right in the heart, killing him. He swiftly picked up the handgun of a dead soldier.

"You did well, Nicholas. I'm not angry at your death. You died while fighting for your final goal. Your death won't be in vain," said Leonid.

"I will kill you too, Shadow; I will," said Ivan.
