dahyun returned to her shared apartment with nayeon, feeling a mixture of relief and uncertainty. The familiar warmth of the apartment was comforting as she stepped inside, carrying her suitcase with her. nayeon greeted her with a smile, noticing the slight tension in dahyun's shoulders.

"Welcome back," nayeon said, setting the table with dinner. "I figured you'd be hungry after everything."

dahyun smiled, appreciating her friend's care. "Thanks, unnie. I've missed this—our simple dinners."

They both sat down at the table, enjoying the meal. The food was warm, and the conversation between them flowed easily, a welcome change from the intensity dahyun had experienced while staying at the BTS dorm. As they ate, nayeon glanced at dahyun with a knowing look.

Finally back, huh?" nayeon said, giving her a warm smile. "You've been at the BTS dorm for so long, I was starting to think you moved out."

dahyun chuckled softly, shaking her head as she made her way to the table. "It feels like I have, but it was just part of the job."

"So... how are things with jungkook ?" nayeon teased lightly, raising an eyebrow. "You were staying there quite a while."

dahyun sighed, pausing as she played with her food. "He's doing better. He's not reacting to the news about Lisa anymore, which is a big relief. My job is done now."

nayeon tilted her head, sensing there was more to the story. "Did something happen between ?"

dahyun took a deep breath. "It's just... more complicated than I thought it would be. Jungkook's going through a lot, and I feel like there's so much he's not saying

nayeon raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story, but she didn't push. "Well, you did what you could. He'll reach out if he needs to. You've been there for him through all of this."

nayeon smirked playfully as she took a bite of her food. "btw, you're really lucky. You got to live with the world's biggest boyband. I mean, BTS! People would die for that chance."

dahyun chuckled softly, shaking her head. "It wasn't as glamorous as you think. It was more like... managing emotions and making sure everyone was okay."

nayeon laughed. "Still, you were surrounded by seven idols! That's something not everyone gets to experience."

dahyun smiled but didn't say much, her thoughts briefly drifting back to Jungkook and the whirlwind of emotions that came with being around him.

nayeon chuckled, leaning closer as if sharing a secret. "Oh, come on, dahyun. You can't just live with the world's biggest boyband and not be affected by how good-looking they are. I mean, Jungkook alone... don't get me started on those eyes."

dahyun's heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name, but she kept her composure. "It's not like that. They're all just... friends." She tried to sound casual, but the image of Jungkook flashed in her mind again—his shy smile, the way he would sometimes seek her out for comfort.

nayeon gave her a knowing smirk. "Right, just friends." She sipped her coffee, clearly not buying dahyun's denial. "But living with them, all those shared moments, late-night talks... It sounds like something out of a fanfiction."

dahyun couldn't help but laugh at that, shaking her head. "It wasn't that glamorous. They're normal guys. Just... famous." Yet, her thoughts betrayed her as she remembered those quiet, vulnerable moments with Jungkook—the late-night conversations, the way he looked at her when he was struggling.

nayeon tilted her head, watching dahyun carefully. "You seem lost in thought. Anything—or anyone—you want to talk about?"

dahyun blinked, snapping out of her thoughts, and quickly shook her head. "No, really. I'm just... tired."

nayeon raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Tired, huh? You know, for someone who just lived with the biggest boyband in the world, you're being awfully quiet about it. No juicy stories? No late-night confessions?" She leaned in closer, teasing. "Not even one tiny crush?"

dahyun smiled but kept her guard up. "Honestly, nayeon, they're just regular people when the cameras are off. They have their issues, just like anyone else."

nayeon wasn't letting go that easily, though. "Okay, but you lived with them, dahyun. That's got to do something to a person. You're telling me you didn't even once think about how handsome they are? I mean, Jungkook alone—let's not pretend he's not the one every girl dreams about."

dahyun felt her face heat up. She tried to brush it off with a laugh, but her thoughts betrayed her again. She could remember the way Jungkook had smiled shyly, the way he had leaned on her when things got hard, the quiet moments when his walls came down. She hadn't been able to stop thinking about him since she left the dorm.

nayeon noticed the slight shift in dahyun's expression. "There it is!" she exclaimed, pointing. "You're thinking about him right now, aren't you?"

dahyun waved her hand, trying to dismiss the accusation. "No, no, it's not like that. He's just... complicated."

"Complicated?" nayeon repeated, her curiosity piqued. "How so?"

dahyun hesitated. She didn't want to reveal too much, but part of her wanted to share the weight she'd been carrying. "Jungkook... he's been through a lot. It's not easy being in his position. Sometimes, it's like he's trying to carry the weight of the world, and he doesn't know how to let people in."

nayeon's teasing tone softened, sensing the seriousness in dahyun's words. "That sounds tough. And I'm guessing you were there for him during all of that?"

dahyun nodded slowly. "Yeah, I tried to help. But now that I'm back here, I can't stop thinking about him. It's like... I'm worried about him."

nayeon's face softened into a gentle smile. "Sounds like you care about him a lot more than you're letting on."

dahyun sighed, leaning back into her chair. "I don't know what it is, honestly. It's just... complicated."

nayeon placed her hand over dahyun's in a comforting gesture. "Well, complicated or not, just don't shut yourself off. You never know what could happen. Maybe it's not the end between you and Mr. Complicated."

dahyun smiled at that, but her thoughts drifted back to Jungkook. There was something unfinished between them, and she wasn't sure if leaving the dorm had been the right move.
