On the third day of Jungkook's therapy, he stared at the bland bowl of food in front of him. With a heavy sigh, he pushed the bowl away. "I can't do this anymore," he muttered.
dahyun looked at him sympathetically. "But you're doing very well, Mr. Jeon."
Jungkook's frustration boiled over. "I'm tired of it. The medicines you give me make me throw up everything I eat, my head hurts like hell, and I sleep for hours afterward."
dahyun's expression remained calm. "I know it's hard for you, but the results you'll get will be worth it. Trust me."
Jungkook sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Still, can I get some real food? I'm so sick of this."
dahyun smiled gently. "Okay, how about some kimchi soup?"
Jungkook's eyes lit up slightly. "Thank you so much."
Later, when dahyun brought the soup to his room, she found Jungkook in a state of chaos. He was throwing things around, his face a mask of frustration and despair. Alarmed, she quickly placed the tray on a table and ran towards him.
"Mr. Jeon, Mr. Jeon, calm down," she called out, her voice firm but soothing. She grabbed his arm and pulled him into a hug, patting his back. "Calm down. What's happening? Tell me."
Instead of speaking, Jungkook clung to her, his body shaking as he started to cry. "It's okay, take your time," dahyun whispered, holding him tightly. His sobs gradually subsided, and he fell asleep in her arms. She struggled to lay him down on the bed, finding it difficult due to his weight, but she managed.
With Jungkook finally resting, dahyun looked around the room. It was a mess, but she quietly began to clean up, picking up the scattered items and putting them back in place. She placed the kimchi soup in the freezer to keep it fresh.
When Jungkook woke up, he felt disoriented but noticed Suga sitting near him, reading a book. Suga looked up and set the book aside.
"You're awake," Suga said quietly.
"Yeah," Jungkook replied, his voice hoarse from crying.
"dahyun told me you had a panic attack," Suga explained. "I heated up the soup for you. It's in the kitchen."
Jungkook looked around, trying to get his bearings. "When did you get here?"
"About 20 minutes ago," Suga answered. "Go freshen up, and I'll bring you the soup."
Jungkook nodded weakly. "Okay, thanks."
Suga watched as Jungkook slowly got up and headed to the bathroom. After freshening up, Jungkook returned to find Suga in the kitchen, carefully pouring the reheated kimchi soup into a bowl.
"Here you go," Suga said, placing the bowl in front of him. "Eat up."
Jungkook took a spoonful, the familiar taste bringing him a small sense of comfort. "Thanks, hyung."
Suga sat across from him, offering a reassuring smile. "Anytime, Jungkook. We're all here for you."
As Jungkook ate, he felt a flicker of hope. With his hyungs and dahyun supporting him, he believed he could make it through this tough time.
That evening, as the sun set and painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, Jungkook found himself on the rooftop of their dorm. The cool breeze felt refreshing against his skin. He sat down, leaning against the railing, and closed his eyes, letting the tranquility wash over him.
A few minutes later, Taehyung joined him, quietly sitting beside him. "Hey," Taehyung said softly.
"Hey," Jungkook replied, opening his eyes and gazing at the skyline.
Taehyung handed him a bottle of banana milk. "Thought you might need this."
Jungkook took it gratefully. "Thanks."
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, the sounds of the city below a distant hum. Taehyung finally broke the silence. "You know, it's okay to feel overwhelmed. We're all here to help you through it."
Jungkook nodded, feeling a lump in his throat. "I just... I feel so lost sometimes."
"That's normal," Taehyung said gently. "But you're not alone. We all care about you, Jungkook. We're family."
Jungkook felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes. "I know. I'm just scared."
"Being scared means you care," Taehyung said with a small smile. "It means you're human. And it's okay to lean on us when you need to."
Jungkook took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief. "Thanks, Taehyung. That means a lot."
They sat together as the sky darkened, the stars beginning to twinkle overhead. Jungkook felt a renewed sense of determination. He knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with his friends and family by his side, he believed he could face anything.
A few days later, during another therapy session, dahyun noticed a change in Jungkook's demeanor. He seemed more present, more engaged.
"How are you feeling today?" she asked, her tone gentle.
"Better," Jungkook admitted. "I had a really good talk with Taehyung. It helped a lot."
"That's great to hear," dahyun said with a warm smile. "It's important to have a support system."
Jungkook nodded. "Yeah, it really is. I've been thinking a lot about what you said, about letting people in. It's hard, but I'm trying."
"And that's all I ask," dahyun replied. "Taking it one step at a time."
Jungkook felt a sense of peace he hadn't felt in a long time. He knew he still had a long way to go, but for the first time, he felt like he was on the right path.
