dahyun was back in her familiar environment-white walls, the sterile smell of antiseptic, and the steady hum of hospital activity. It was a far cry from the emotional whirlwind of living with BTS, but here, in the hospital, she felt a sense of control and purpose. She was Dr. Kim Dahyun again, not the woman tangled in the personal lives of idols.

Walking down the halls of the hospital, she adjusted her lab coat, her mind momentarily at ease as she focused on the duties ahead. Her pager buzzed, reminding her that there were patients to see, charts to review, and diagnoses to make.

As she entered one of the exam rooms, she was greeted by a familiar face, one of her regular patients. "Good morning, Mrs. Lee," dahyun said with a professional smile. "How are we feeling today?"

The woman smiled back, though her eyes held a hint of worry. "A little better, Doctor. But it's always comforting to see you."

dahyun nodded, listening attentively as Mrs. Lee spoke about her symptoms. She had always been good at this-making people feel at ease, listening, offering solutions. It was a world where she could help and be present without the confusion and emotional complexities she had left behind at the dorm.

But no matter how much she tried to focus, her thoughts kept drifting back to Jungkook. She had returned to her routine, yet a part of her still lingered in those quiet moments with him, in his vulnerability and his confusion. She found herself wondering if he was okay, if he was eating, if he was still burdened by the weight of their unresolved tension.

As dahyun sat in the hospital's staff lounge, taking a much-needed break, her phone buzzed on the table. She glanced down, expecting it to be a work notification or a message from Nayeon. But when she saw the name on the screen, her eyebrows lifted in surprise.

It wasn't Jungkook or anyone from BTS-it was Dr. Choi, her old mentor from her residency days. The two hadn't spoken in a while, and the sudden message piqued her curiosity.

"Dr. Kim, I heard you're back at the hospital. I have a case I'd love to discuss with you. Can we talk when you have a moment?"

dahyun's heart skipped slightly, not from any romantic tension, but from the excitement of reconnecting with someone who had been instrumental in shaping her career. She admired Dr. Choi greatly and remembered how much she had learned under his guidance.

She set her coffee down and quickly typed a response: "Of course, Dr. Choi. I'm free after my shift. I'd love to catch up and hear about the case."

Slipping her phone back into her pocket, dahyun allowed herself a small smile. It felt good to reconnect with someone from her professional life, someone who wasn't tangled in the complex web of emotions and relationships she'd been dealing with lately. For a moment, she was reminded of why she had pursued medicine in the first place.

Her mind shifted back to her work as she prepared to dive into her afternoon rounds. But in the back of her mind, she couldn't help but wonder what kind of challenge Dr. Choi had in store for her.

As dahyun was wrapping up her shift, feeling the exhaustion of the long day catch up to her, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She assumed it was just another work message, but when she saw the caller ID, her brow furrowed-rm.

Quickly stepping into a quiet corner of the hospital hallway, she answered the call. "Namjoon-ssi? What's going on?"

His voice on the other end sounded tense. "dahyun, I don't want to alarm you, but I need to let you know something. Jungkook... he went to meet Lisa today."

dahyun's eyes widened in shock. "What? Why? I thought-"

"I don't know how she convinced him," RM interrupted, sounding frustrated. "We've been trying to keep them apart after everything, but somehow she got to him. I'm worried, dahyun. You know what she's capable of. I just don't want anything happening to him."
