For the rest of the week, anytime I saw Kori, my body grew warm.

All I could think about were her lips on mine, her hands expertly pleasing me.

She had a lot of meetings during the rest of the week, so I didn't see her a lot, but when I did, it was a struggle to remain professional.

I wonder if it is for her as well?

She didn't give anything away when I did see her...but the text messages she sent me for the next couple of days after the night at her condo told another story.

The night after we spent time together at her place, she simply texted me saying:

Can't stop thinking about you.

She also sent me another text saying:

Wow, you're actually getting me to text. Just wanted to let you know you've been on my mind all day.

When Friday rolled around, I knew that I wanted to talk to her more in person. I decided that I was going to go to her office and make some coffee there.

I got up from my desk and walked over to her office, feeling jittery.

As I approached, I saw a blonde woman walk up to Kori's office, and a moment later, she walked in.

I froze when I realized who it was.

Lisa from accounting.

What does she want?

I stood there for a moment, to see if she was just running in and out of Kori's office quickly for whatever reason.

But she stayed in there, so I decided to walk back to my desk and talk myself down.

Lisa could be going in there for any reason.

Not necessarily...sexual or romantic ones.

When I got back to my desk, Grace asked me, "Was Kori's office occupied? I figured you got up to get coffee."

I nodded, "It was. I'll try again in twenty minutes or so."

I did exactly that.

I got up and walked to Kori's office, and as I approached the closed door and was about to knock, it opened.

Out walked Lisa, and I took a step back.

Kori was standing by the door, and her eyes widened when she noticed me. Lisa also turned around to face Kori and paused.

I glanced at Lisa and couldn't help but notice how put together and professional she looked.

"Ashley, good morning, everything alright?" Kori asked.

"Yeah...I just wanted to make some coffee," I said, looking at Kori.

"By all means, come in," Kori nodded.

Lisa smiled at Kori, "It's so nice that you do that for your employees. I'll see you later, Kori, have a nice day."

Without even acknowledging me, Lisa walked away.

I stepped inside Kori's office, and she closed the door behind her, and then took a few steps up to me, until we were facing each other.

"That's Lisa, right?" I asked Kori.

Kori nodded, "It was, yes. She was here for a little while, longer than I expected her to be. Or wanted her to be. She wanted to go over some budgets with me, but if I'm being honest, she did make a pass at me."

Oh.

"Thank you for telling me," I said to Kori, "What exactly did she do?"

"She asked me if I wanted to come over this weekend. She and her boyfriend broke up apparently. I politely declined. I have no interest."
