I opened my eyes.
All that was in my vision was bright red that was circled by white ebullience, reminding me of the afternoon sun in the evening sky. I felt my body loose, like as if I lost touch of it, but I still had full control of my body when I was able to turn my hand into a fist.
'Où suis-je?' I thought to myself. Where am I?
Then another thing came to my mind: I wasn't standing, I was laying down. But I felt that my back wasn't against anything, it was like as if I was thrown into a lake was floating underneath the surface. I looked down at myself, seeing that the edges of my clothes were waving upward gently, like how they would submerged in water. But I knew I wasn't in water since I was still breathing fine and I didn't feel myself wet nor pressure on me. I felt myself floating aimlessly like as if gravity left the area.
Yes, I was in midair, but how?
I pushed myself up, wishing that my movements were a whole lot more quicker and sharper, but with the atmosphere, my motions were slow and gentle, making me look like hadn't moved in the longest time.
I was gradually lifted up so that my feet were below me. I gazed around my surroundings, seeing that the the ground below me was also that coral colour fading into black, notifying me that was a pit. I raised my head up high, seeing that bright radiance that was lighting up the room. I would say that was the sun, but this light didn't blind me painfully like how the sun would; I was able to stare at it, admiring its glow for a moment.
I then turned my head down to see what was in front of me: just endless light red. I gazed to the right side, seeing that there was red in front of me, but more lower was another colour.
'Pourquoi là-bas?' I thought to myself. Why down there?
I turned to the left, which was farther away from me than my right; it was the same thing with the colours. 'Même chose. Comment puis-je descends?' Same thing. How do I go down?
Then an idea came into my mind. With a deep breath, I leaned back and slowly fell back with my head first. It was the longest fall I've ever experienced as I gently drifted down lower.
I was looking ahead of me seeing the blackness of the bottom. Suddenly, what seemed like a floating chair came into my view. 'Oh tirer!' I braced myself with my eyes closed as I was expecting to crash into the object gingerly. But when I opened my eyes, I saw that the chair was gone. 'Quoi?' I perked up, seeing myself go through the chair like as if I had intangibility. 'Ooh là là!' Oh shoot! What? Whoa!
My eyes snapped to the right, seeing that I was at my destination. I pushed my weight to my feet and I began rising back up to my feet as a table was gliding through me.
'Qu'est-ce qui vient de se passer?' I thought to myself as I eyed the gliding chair oddly as it finished its course through me. I then gazed back to the right and turned my body so that I could face it; my eyes widened with my jaw hanging open. What just happened?
There was my house again from the view a visitor would see it from: my house on the left, green, lush grass in the middle, the rushing waterfall spilling into the lake, the area of trees behind my house and the waterfall. And there sitting on my porch peacefully was Bella.
"Bella," I murmured to myself as I extended my hand towards the scene. My hand hit what seemed like a smooth, tangible, transparent wall; it rippled a bit when my hand made contact with it.
I flattened my hand on the wall as it vibrated more and I placed the palm of my other hand on it as I stared at the scene with pleading eyes. 'Il semble si...parfait... Les cieux clairs, la tranquillité, Bella...' I then pressed on the wall more, hoping that it could break and that I could get into the scene. It looks so...perfect... The clear skies, the peacefulness, Bella...
My right hand broke the wall and thrusted me closer to the wall since my lower arm also went along with it due to the force. I felt the cool forest air breezed through my fingers, making me feel as if I was at home.
I closed my eyes with a small smile on my face as I began to press my other hand on the wall. But before I could make a dent, a thought was thrown into my mind: 'Où étais-je avant?' Where was I before this?
I opened my eyes with a confused expression, pondering where I was. 'Je courais après un canard, puis le canard disparais et un gars a pris sa place...puis il m'a poignardé et--' I snapped my head down, seeing that my jeans were free of blood and that I had no pain in my thigh. I placed my free hand on it, making sure that was true. 'Je été poignardé...pourquoi je ne peux pas le sentir?' I then moved my hand up to my head since I was hit there as well so that I could be knocked out. 'Ma tête se sent très bien aussi...pas de sang, pas de douleur...,' I thought to myself as I rubbed my hair against my head. I then snapped my eyes back at the view of my house. I noticed my gun wasn't there on the grass and Bella was just sitting there, like as if she was waiting for someone to come. 'Cela semble parfait...trop parfait.' I was chasing a duck and then the duck disappear and a guy took its place...then he stabbed me and--; I was stabbed...why can't I feel it?; My head feels fine too...no blood, no pain; This looks too perfect...too perfect.
Too perfect.
Then my mind sent me back into a memory for a moment: "Pierre uses his mental powers to go into the person's mind. There, he shows them a...another place, a perfect place fit for that person--an alternative universe, an alternative reality. So the person's conscious, or self or soul, whatever you wanna call it, goes to that 'paradise,' making their physical body unoccupied."
I blinked in realization as I was now fully focused on my current surroundings. 'Ceci est la ruse de Pierre...de prendre le contrôle de moi...' My eyes were widened as I stared out at the view of my house and Bella, then at my hand that was in that scene. 'Je suis à mi-chemin à travers! Non, non, je ne peux pas!' This is Pierre's trick...to take over me; I'm halfway through it! No, no, I can't!
Then with all of my strength, I pulled away from the view as I felt my hand gliding against the edge of the hole it was in. I yanked my hand out free and looked at it with relief. 'Bon, maintenant comment revenir à la réalité.' Good, now how to get back to reality.
I lifted my eyes up at the view again, getting locked in it for a moment. Trust me, I really wanted to go in there and forget about reality and let it just be Bella and me, but I knew I have done many mistakes in my life, mistakes that could've been avoided if I thought logically. I wasn't going to make a mistake like that again. "I'm sorry," I whispered to Bella and the view, "but I have things to do."
I then tore myself away from the view, looking at the other side of the area; the left side was showing a blurry view of what seemed like colours of different shades of gray and black. 'Ce doit être là où je suis supposé être à,' I thought to myself. With a deep breath, I glided over to the left side using swimming motions. That must be where I'm suppose to be.
I halted myself in front of the gray view and extended a hand out towards it. There was no wall, just a change of gravity when my hand reached into the scene. 'C'est ça.' I then pushed myself straight into the gray. This is it.

I felt like as if I fell off a tall tree when I hit reality.
I was breathing hard and my head had a throbbing pain in it; my thigh was still stinging and the jean material over it from my pants was harden due to the dried blood on it.
I slowly turned my head to take in my surroundings: I was in a gray room with small, squared windows high up and near the ceiling on the right side of the room. To the left was a black door and in front of me was an empty table with chairs around it. The room had a dull tone to it since it was dim and the colours didn't make it anymore livelier.
I gazed down at myself, seeing that was sitting on chair with my wrists secured against the arm rests with rope and my ankles against the legs of the chair with more rope. 'Je dois sortir d'ici.' I need to get outta here.
I then collected all my strength and yanked my right arm towards me; my hand broke free from the rope, ripping it in half. I then worked at the rope that had my left hand down, undoing the knot with one hand. I then untied the ropes on my ankles and stood up when I was free from the roping.
I turned to face the door and began walking towards it until something caught my eye. I darted my eyes to the chair, noticing that there was something metallic behind it.
I made my way to it and pushed the chair away from the wall, revealing what was behind it. There on the floor was a slim silver, metallic box attached to the wall that had thin metal bars crawling up the wall that were about the same height as the chair; on the tip of the bars were small squares.
I made a bewildered look. "What's this for?" I muttered to myself. I then shrugged with a frown and exited the room.
