Through the Mirror

Chapter 5

It was almost 8 of this I am sure. That dream felt so real...like it actually happened...what does it mean? I've been pacing for awhile now and my heart was still pounding out of my chest. I am a very punctual pony and I make sure I am never late but since becoming the Princess of Friendship I have let time slip by me a few times, especially when it came to doing things with my friend.
"Ok Twilight it's time to go." One last deep breath and I'll be on my way and I may actually be on time.

I walked out of the castle and was pushing all thoughts of the dream, which was more like a nightmare, far from my mind. Though all of it wasn't so dark.
Could that have been a sign about flash....but if it was wouldn't it have been a sign of something evil to come.
I let out a sigh as I push all thoughts of the dream away.
Thinking about this while at Pinkies party isn't going to go over well and I don't want to scare my friends. Not until I find out what it means.

Finally I arrived at Sugarcube Corner where I could hear my friends talking. One last deep breath and I was through the door.
" TWILIGHT!" Pinkie said as she bounded over to me "IM SO HAPPY YOURE HERE. NOW THE PARTY CAN REALLY START! HIT IT GUMMY!" I couldn't hold back a smile as the music started to play.

We danced and ate the delicious treats that either Pinkie Pie made or Mr. and Mrs. Cake made. After awhile I took a seat at one of the booths and laughed watched my friends. It really was good to be home. The smile quickly left my face when a flash of my dream came across my mind. I did everything I could to keep my face from looking as if something horrible happened before anypony noticed but it was to late.
"What's the matter darling?" Rarity said as she walked over to where I was sitting.
Quick Twilight think "Oh it's nothing" I tried to sound convincing but it didn't work
"You know you can tell us anything." Now all eyes where on me and the music stop so they could hear me.

I let out a sigh, I won't be able to get out of this. Might as well tell them about Flash..there is no need to tell them about anything else.

"It's really nothing, it's just this dream that I had. I can't stop thinking about it no matter how hard I try"
"What was it about?" Rainbow Dash chimed in
"It started out black and then there was this light. When I walked towards the light I found myself in this beautiful lush green field with a clear blue sky. As I kept walking I could make out someone standing there, as I got closer to them it turned out to be human Flash. He was talking to me about being with him but I was telling him I wanted to but I had my royal duties here in Equestria, I closed my eyes and put my head down after saying that. I could feel him lift my head up but I never opened my eyes. Then he told me to look at him and when I opened my eyes he was a pony not the human he once was." I let out a sigh before continuing "I just don't know. I feel like my dream was trying to tell me something but it was just a dream..." Tears started falling as the dead bodies of the ones I loved flashed again in my head. I will not tell them about that

"Suger cube isn't that a good sign?" Applejack asked me as she put a hoof on my shoulder
"Twilight you should be happy that's an awesome dream" Rainbow Dash said while doing one of her backflips
"Yeah twilight you should be happy about this." Fluttershy said as she came up to hug me.
"I know I should but what if it was wrong." Part of me hoping at least the last part of my dream was. "What if pony Flash isn't like the human one. Or what if he doesn't end up feeling the same way. I mean I only met him twice and both times I bumped into him."
" That is true darling but both times you bumped into him he never seemed upset about it." The reassurance in Rarity's voice made me feel a little better
"Thanks guys but let's get back to this party." I plastered a smile on my face
"OKIE DOKIE LOKIE! HIT IT!"

The party continued and having my friends around helped ease my mind. We played several games which Rainbow Dash won. Applejack thought she cheated on some but we all got a good laugh out of it.

"Twilight, Twilight a letter came" Spike said drawing my attention from the party to him.
"What does it say Spike."
"It says you are needed in the Crystal Empire. It's of the utmost importance. You must leave at once."
