Through the Mirror

Chapter 7

Though the castle didn't look big from the outside it never ceases to amaze me how big and magnificent it was on the inside. The guards that got me from the train station followed silently behind me while Spike walked by my left side.  We continued down the long hallway to the throne room where Princess Cadence, my brother (maybe), Princess Luna and Princess Celestia were waiting for my arrival. We were only feet from the door when the guards picked up the pace and passed myself and Spike to open the doors. They stopped in front of the door one on each side. With their magic they opened the doors and I walked in.

"Twilight" Cadence said in a tone that was laced with concern and love
I bowed towards them. Cadence was on the throne while Princess Luna and Princess Celestia where on either side of her.
"I came as quickly as I could." I said while my head was still bowed.
"It is good to see you, though I wish it was on better terms." Celestia took a step forward.
"What's going on?" I said with concern written all over my face.
"Do you remember your dream Twilight Sparkle?" This time it was Luna speaking while she came towards me stopping just inches away from my face.
"My dream?" Trying to think fast because it completely threw me off guard. Then it hit me. The dream I had that turned into a nightmare. "But that was just a dream." I looked up at Luna

"I'm afraid not Twilight Sparkle." Luna looked down at the ground to hide the fear in her eyes.
"If it wasn't a dream then what was it?!" I looked between the three of them for an answer. Finally Princess Luna spoke again
"That was a vision of something most evil."
"A vision of what was yet to come or a vision of something that could possibly be?" I was frozen in my spot. As much as I tried to tell myself it was just a dream a part of me knew it wasn't.

"What was that thing!?!"
Luna looked up at her sister that was now standing next to her
"That creature you saw is called Vheshar. A shadow like creature from the realm of Scuranera. Not much is known about Scuranera though there are legends that say the land is covered in darkness. Death and destruction is all that covers the land. Vheshar is also mentioned in the legend. But all that is said is that he is the cause of the destruction."
"Well how are we supposed to fight to save Equestria if we know nothing about this Vheshar thing?"
"The Crystal Empire is the oldest location in Equestria. It is said to have a hidden library with more on the legend than is explained in any book." Luna chimed in.
"How long do we have?"
"Unfortunately we do not know. Every book of legends has had the part that talks about Vheshar removed or shortened. Someone didn't want anypony to know about him." Celestia turned around to look at Cadence
"We must find this library and hope it holds something more on our new enemy."
Celestia turned back smiling tenderly at me.

"Spike would you please take the next train to Ponyville and bring Twilights friends. Something tells me they will be a key element in our current situation." Spike just nodded at the princess and looked at me "Twilight it will be ok. I'll be right back with the girls." I looked at him when he spoke to me. He had a claw on my left leg in an attempt to make me feel better. "I know Spike." I replied while hugging my baby dragon friend. He started running as soon as I let him go.

"Now Twilight I can imagine you are tired." Cadence spoke softly to me. Probably saying that because she could see the dark circles under my eyes.
"I am exhausted!" I said sighing heavily
"Well then Flash Sentry will show you to your room." Flash stepped forward upon hearing his name. I saw a smile that said 'I know how you feel' on Cadences' face. It didn't surprise me considering as soon as she said his name I froze with my eyes widening while they slowly followed him while he walked.

"Right this way Princess." He bowed his head and extended a hoof to point the way. I nodded in reply. I couldn't speak my mouth and throat were as dry as the deserts of Saddle Arabia. I noticed Celestia glance at Cadence when she giggled and then smiled softly at me.

I followed Flash silently not knowing what I should say to him. I started looking at the floor while I walked trying to think of something to talk about. 

Thud!

I was on my butt on the floor. I shook my head trying to bring myself back to earth.
"You know we really need to stop bumping into each other like this" I looked up into sapphire blue eyes that had this undeniable sparkle to them. I was captivated by them and taken away. He held a hoof out for me to grab and pull myself up. Our eyes were locked to each other. Time was going by so slowly and after a few moments it felt like it stopped all together. I reached my own hoof out and placed it into his. I started to stand up but lost my footing and fell forward, landing into his chest. He caught me and put the hoof he was holding my own with around my shoulders to prevent me from falling again.
"Princess are you alright?" His voice was sweet and rang pleasantly through my ears. His head was right next to mine and I couldn't stop my brain from going completely blank.

Oh sweet Celestia Twilight what are you doing. Get off him, apologize, do something for ponies sake. You just bumped into him and now you fall into him. Smooth move.

I took a deep breath as I moved my head off his shoulder.
