Franco places fourth in the feature on Sunday.
Almost immediately after, he's whisked away to the Williams garage to watch the Grand Prix, and of course he brings Adela with her. They were so close to double points - P9 for Alex and P11 for Logan.
"It was actually surprisingly comfortable to drive," Franco says to Adela as they make their way out of the F1 paddock. "It's really different from the F2 car though."
"You adapted quickly, then. You weren't too far off from Alex, no?" she asks, and Franco shakes his head. "Only four-tenths." he grins.
She smiles. "Look at you go," she says. "I'm expecting James to call you soon and offer a seat."
Franco laughs. "Hopefully. Fingers crossed."
"Yeah, or maybe some other team will snatch you up. I wouldn't blame them-!"
She suddenly cuts her sentence short, and Franco looks at her, confused. She's just standing there, shock-still - and it isn't until Franco tears his gaze away from her to see what's gotten her so alarmed when he realises.
Franco Colapinto is not a very violent person, but he wants nothing more than to smack the shit-eating smirk off Grayson Woo's face right now. The fact that he's even in the paddock makes Franco fume with anger.
"What is he doing here?" Franco says, and Adela doesn't reply. He looks at her, and she's just standing there, staring at him.
"I... what the fuck?" is what she says when she finally finds the words. Franco watches as Grayson and Nadia approach the two of them - the fact that they even have the audacity is appalling, and Franco's tempted to drag Adela away and make a run for the exit with her.
But Adela is the first to speak when she sees her former friend and ex boyfriend approach. "What the fuck are you doing here?" her voice is pointed, sharp, and more importantly - it's filled with hurt. It takes everything for Franco to not reach his hand out to comfort her, but he doesn't want to give Grayson and Nadia the wrong idea.
