Adela finds herself waking up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep.
She looks at Franco, who's fast asleep - he's got a big day tomorrow, and she doesn't dare wake him up.
She picks up the pen resting by her bedside table, and the notepad that accompanies it, and starts scribbling down random thoughts on the paper.
Love letters are still a thing, right?
She writes one for him. It's short, it just about fills the page, and then she scribbles the date on the back of the paper. She then gets out of bed, neatly folding it and placing it in the pocket of his backpack. He'll find it when he finds it, she thinks.
When she hops back into bed, she presses a kiss to the tip of Franco's nose. "Mmm," he mumbles, and his arm wraps around her waist to pull her closer to him. Adela guesses that he might not be as fast asleep as she thought.
"Love you," she mumbles in Korean. He doesn't understand a word of what she's saying, even if he's drifting in and out of consciousness, but he smiles anyways. "Points tomorrow."
She falls asleep soon after with Franco's arm still around her waist.
