Valentina flashed out of the space. She took out a fully loaded handgun from the space before creeping behind the front door.

During the apocalypse, human heart and morals are the most negligible and unfaithful thing. No one could be trusted as everyone has a strong desire to survive and there will always be some people wanting to fish in troubled waters.

So self protection is the most important. She must judge the other person intentions before revealing herself. If they harbour any ill, then don't even think about leaving with their lives. She was no saint to save evildoers for the sake of the so-called humanity.

Listening closely and observing the situation outside the house with her psychic powers, Valentina detected about 5 people outside. There were three men and two women. However her mental strength was too low to support her psychic power for a long time.

She needs to kill zombies and gain crystal nuclei from them to update her powers quickly. Otherwise with her current level if level 2 zombies arrive, it will be difficult to defeat. According to the novel, level 2 zombies will start to manifest supernatural powers like the supernatural humans.

Suddenly voice drifted to her from outside as the group came closer to the villa's front door. And there seemed to be a injured one in their group.

"Brother, do you think someone lives here? It looks so empty and there are no blood marks too." A girl's voice came through.

"We don't know the situation yet. It better to be careful. There might be mutated plants and animals too." A familiar voice came through.

Just as a face flashed through Valentina's mind the door opened and she reflexively pointed her gun towards them.

"Ahhhhhh!" A scream tore through as growls of nearby zombies started to be attracted towards the villa. Looking at the locked gate, it seems that they had climbed through the walls.

Valentina pointed her gun at the screaming girl before coldly saying, "Stop screaming before you attract more zombies here." Her eyes fell on the familiar face behind the girl. Lorence Lancelot, the third male lead of the novel.

The girl beside him was his sister, well half sister, Noelle Lancelot. She seems to be the illegitimate daughter of father Lancelot.

She was also the villainess of the novel who loved to torture the heroine and wanted to climb up to the male lead. However the interesting thing is she is a important member of the research team of the base and the male lead couldn't do anything to avenge the female lead.

Even in the end, although Noelle Lancelot gave up on trying to disrupt the relation between the male and female lead she never married or loved anyone else. The original writer was really a romantic maniac and made every character with a love-hate setting.

"You are trespassing on private property." Valentina said ignoring the astonished look in Lorence's eyes when her eyes fell on the other two man. One of them was leaning weakly against the other.

Oliver Hayes was standing right infront of her with the male lead Anthony Knight leaning against him. It seems that the male lead was awakening his powers...second power, Valentina silent added recalling the novel story.

The male lead was originally a fire type superpower. Later after a fight with mutant dogs while collecting supplies to travel to Base A with his team, he awakened another wind power. You see, wind and fire, proper combination of the both can have drastic impact.

Speaking of which, the novel said that Oliver had a rare and unique dark superpower. He could control shadows and in high level of the power, he could travel through them too. It was a hidden power of the second male lead which was only revealed in the extra chapters. During the story he had a space power with a offensive setting.
