The whole stadium was covered in blood and scattered limbs and organs. It looked something straight out of hellish nightmare.
If she remembered correctly, there was a international final match on the day of the end times. So much crowd, so many fans, staffs and spectator with players and coaches.
And a cold wind blew by, erupting goosebumps on her covered arms drew her attention to the majestic looking locust tree standing tall infront of the entrance. Perhaps it was planted as a decoration before the end times.
The locust tree was bursting with vitality and life however the dried blood on its leaves and intestines and other organ reveled the vicious aura emitting from it.
But the thing that caught her attention was that the energy she felt earlier was really a meteorite stone and it was buried right under the tree. The locust tree must have mutated and sensing the energy it evolved too fast.
The meteorite must have been taken underground by its roots. According to the novel, the nuclei of mutant tree and plants are all underground in their roots.
As long as the crystal nuclei is not taken out, even if the tree is cut from the base, it will still grow from the roots vigorously.
After mutation the tree has sprouted many sharp thorns on its trunk and branches. The thorns gleamed ominously with a sharp light. Some branches sway loosely in the air like flexible vines.
Perhaps sensing her presence the branches suddenly stiffened but didn't actively attack her yet. It looked like the tree was contemplating its winning chances.
The locust tree actually awakened its wisdom!
You must know that it was only the 6th day of the end times. The abnormal evolution of the locust tree must be related to the high energy meteorite it has been absorbing.
If she could get the meteorite, wouldn't she be able to level up her power quickly too?!
And although the plant nuclei isn't useful to her, the high level plant nuclei of a wise tree must be very tempting to the plant based superpowers at base. At that time she can exchange it for other crystal nuclei and benefits.
However Valentina wasn't naive and neither foolish enough to believe that this fight was going to be any easier for her. She didn't have fire ability so she could exactly burn the tree, and thunder would consuming a lot of power which is detrimental for long period battle.
However it was still a battle she was more than willing to fight, afterall the price was risky but the result was just as tempting. With that in mind, Valentina was ready to give the mutant tree a good fight.
Valentina crouched low in the dense underbrush, the air thick with the scent of damp earth and decay.
Before her stood the mutant locust tree, a grotesque blend of gnarled bark and twisting branches, its leaves a sickly shade of yellow. It pulsed ominously, radiating an unsettling energy that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.
As it released a swarm of locusts, their bodies glimmering like polished obsidian, Valentina steeled herself. These pests are just extensions of the tree’s will, she thought, focusing her energy.
The ground beneath her feet felt alive, resonating with her presence. She drew on her water powers, feeling the moisture in the air coalesce around her.
“Let’s see how you like this,” she muttered, raising her hands. With a swift motion, she summoned a wave of water that surged forward, crashing against the tree’s trunk.
The locusts screeched, momentarily distracted as they were swept away in the deluge.
The tree, undeterred, retaliated by launching its branches at her like spears. Valentina dodged, rolling to the side. As she regained her footing, her mind surged with a sharp, electric pulse.
