The first thing Néara did after the majestic arrival of Y/n on Awa'atlu village, was talking to the Olo'eyktan and Tsahík to broke her engagement with Ao'nung... or at least she tried to do so.
In fact Néara tried for almost two weeks to meet with the leader and his mate, (or at least one of the two), but nothing.
Once the two were too busy showing Y/n the village; then they were admiring her flying tricks;
another time they were choosing with Y/n the strongest warriors in the village to protect her because she was << precious>> (their literal words);
then the day after they were too busy for the preparations of a "welcoming party" for the << ethereal, beautiful and special gift of Eywa, Y/n>> (again their exact words, not Néara's).
Y/n became their world (well, almost every metkayina's world) and it made Néara cringe so much.
Especially when she watched Tonowari and Ronal bickering or insulting each other for Y/n's attention or for being the one to praise her more.
