Y/n POV
I pulled my knees closer to my chest and rested my head on it while looking out of the window. The bright light of the moon entered my window piercing through the darkness of my room. The wind blew softly caressing the bruises on my skin. I closed my eyes and pulled the jacket closer to my body to get some heat but it was of no use cause the warmth my heart was yearning for was nowhere.
I sighed and rubbed my arms as a tear slipped out of my eyes. My eyes were begging to see Jungkook once just to make sure he was okay, alive. No matter how much I try I couldn't get rid of the negative thoughts surrounding my mind. Whenever I try to console myself that he's fine, his bloody and pale face would flash in my mind making me more restless than I already was.
I opened my eyes and glanced down from my window looking at the amount of men guarding there. My breath hissed as one of the guard looked up directly towards me. I quickly hid down and heave out a deep breath. Looking up, I wandered my eyes in the darkness of my old room before leaning back against the wall.
Yes, I would be staying at my mom's mansion till I get married because that's what Jaiden ordered. I don't know what was the reason behind that, not like I want to know or something. No matter how much I try to think to get out of this situation, I can't exactly come out with any solution because I know my one wrong move could take Jungkook's life and I don't want that.
I don't care if I have to sacrifice my life to someone or not as long as Jungkook's safe. I blamed him wrong, he constantly told me that he wasn't the one but I never listened to him because I was blinded by the lies. Even though I know, he killed my dad, I also got to know that he was only 7 years old at that time. A 7 years old child who did not know what was wrong or right at that time.
He just did what he was told to and I just blamed him because of what I was told. The situation wasn't like how my mom explained it, she just wanted to make my mind venomous so that I would stay away from him in which she most likely succeeded because I'm not there for him when he needs me the most.
I can't even go to meet him to see if he's still breathing or not. The thought of never seeing him again tears every single part of my heart but if it meant that he would be safe without me, then I'm ready to endure this pain for the rest of my life. Because I know that once I get married, Jaiden would sent my somewhere away from Korea because that's the main reason he's doing all this.
I snapped my head towards the door when it slammed open. My mom bursted inside as I slowly stood up. She came towards me and grabbed me by my neck causing me to gasp slightly."Did you use the credit card to pay that boy's hospital fees?" She asked sternly as I sighed and nodded slightly."His name is Jungkook." I said as she pushed me away causing me to stumble back.
"Do you think I have time to care about that?! You literally spent 4 million dollars. Is that a joke to you?!" She yelled frustratingly and ruffled her hair. I looked at her coldly and walked passed her."Don't worry, I'll return it to you soon." I said nonchalantly and laid down on my bed as she came towards me and crossed her arms."And how exactly are you gonna do that?"
"Just care about the money. I promise I'll return it with interest." I emphasized and pulled the duvet over my body before closing my eyes. She scoffed as I heard her footsteps going away before a loud voice of door slamming echoed in the room. After a few moments, everything fell quiet as I opened my eyes and looked at the door before turning to look at the ceiling.
I kept staring at the ceiling blankly before the sound of watch brought me back to reality. I glanced at it and noticed that the watch has just strucked 12. An impatient urge to sneak out and meet Jungkook strucked me as I sat straight and rubbed my palm. Standing up, I peeked from my window to see if the guard were still there or not but unfortunately they were right there standing still and firm.
