It didn't take long for your time in the shopping district to come to an end. You had to take some kind of water elevator down to the upper level of Water 7, where you could find the shipyard and also turn your gold into Berry.
The shipwrights here were rumored to be not only amazing with their skills when it came to repairing ships, but also skilled at fighting off any pirates looking to make trouble and quarrel. Luffy was beyond excited to meet them. You had to go to the money-changing shop first, though.
After you took care of switching in your gold for Berry, you could finally get on the move to the shipyard.
"Can you believe them? They're not letting us anywhere near the money," Luffy grumbled, looking over his shoulder to talk to you. You don't know why he said 'us', when it was really just him Nami and Usopp were protecting the money from. "It's not like I dropped it in the water or anything."
He almost did exactly that, though. Which is why the duo didn't trust him.
"Maybe just be more careful next time...? You seemed to worry them a bit," You requested, patting Luffy gently on the back as a form of reassurance. "Besides, we're almost at the shipyard! You'll see the money again in a minute."
"Once we see a shipwright, we'll probably need to go back to the Merry right away so that he can assess the repair fee..." Nami explained, ignoring Luffy's complaints.
"I see. That's true," Usopp nodded, understanding where the navigator was coming from. "I don't know what to do, since I've never carried so much cash around."
"Well, that's only natural. I can't understand why a person would flail it around."
She was talking about Luffy's antics.
"Ah! Hey, look over there! They're selling water buns! Let's buy 100 of them!" Luffy ordered, but he was quickly turned down.
"Shut up."
"Then, 1,000 of them--"
"Shut up."
"Then..."
"Shut up!"
"Okay..." Luffy pouted, his smile turning into a frown. You felt bad for him, so you decided to unravel one of the secret spare meats you bought at the shopping district, and dangled it by the side of his face. His frown reverted back into a smile. "You were hiding this from me?!"
