"I guess things have finally calmed down..."
"'Finally calmed down'?! You and [Name]-chan had all those shipwrights chasing after you! That's why we ended up getting dragged into it, too!"
"I said it was unavoidable, didn't I?"
You and the others sat on the roof of the closest building you could escape to -- Sanji was the only one not sitting amongst you.
"At any rate, Chopper, I'm surprised you found out where we were," Luffy muttered, turning his head to make eye contact with the doctor. He forgot Chopper had a boosted scent. "Come to think of it, where's Sanji?"
"Well..." Chopper looked down, bearing a look of sadness across his features.
He then proceeded to explain to you everything he and Sanji witnessed. The two of them had a short encounter with Robin -- and the details of that encounter left you taken aback.
Robin, according to what she said -- wanted nothing more to do with any of you.
She said, 'It really was me who infiltrated the mayor's residence last night. I carry a darkness within me that you guys don't know about. This darkness will destroy you someday.'
There was so much more that she said, including that.
What was even worse... she pinned the crime of her assassination attempt of Iceberg onto you.
"Did Robin really say that?!" Luffy shouted, his fists shaking from anger, and his eyes carried glints of disbelief in them.
Chopper nodded, not having the mental capacity to say anything more on the topic.
"We all... were prepared for it, right?" Zoro spoke up, breaking the ear-ringing silence. He unattached the scabbard one of his swords laid in from his belt, and slammed the hilt of it against the roof. "Even though it was for a short time, we let Robin, who showed up as an enemy, come on board. It'd be embarrassing if we ran away because we got scared. Isn't it about time for us to settle this matter... as to whether that woman is... foe or friend?"
...
"So you're sure that Robin said that, Chopper?" The swordsman asked again, hoping for official confirmation of her sudden betrayal. Chopper sweat-dropped, nodding. "She said she wouldn't see us after today. It also sounds like she's declaring that she'll do something that could worsen the situation before the day is over. Look at how big a fuss the attempted assassination of the mayor caused in this town. If it's possible to make the situation worse, there's only one thing she can do."
