I was getting ready to go out with Ryan, Lauren and Kelly. I was just waiting for Onika to let me know she was here.
She wanted Kaiden for the night and I couldn't and wouldn't tell her no. He feels so comfortable with her, I love it for him. He wants to be around her all hours of the day and it simply didn't bother her at all. It only sucks because he has this idea that I and Onika are together.
It's partially my fault because I haven't allowed Ryan to meet him yet for one. I don't know how promising this thing with her was going to be. I dont even know what her role in my life was going to be.
My son is my sacred place and I don't play about my baby at all. I don't know her all that well either. So, with that being said, she only knew of him and it's to stay that way until I decide to change it.
Honestly, I don't even think I want to date Ryan.
"Hey.." I looked at Onika through the vanity frame. I didn't even hear her walk in the house. I allowed her to keep a key... for emergencies of course.
But, this is Onika we're talking about. She doesn't really bother me so I just let it go. She stays in a respectful lane between us.
"Hey! Kaiden is in his room waiting for you." I moved away from the mirror and walked over to her and placed a small kiss on her cheek.
"Can we just stay here?"
"Of course. He'll probably like that anyway. He hates-"
"Driving at night I know. Kind of concerning since he considers himself a PJ mask, but who was I to argue with him." She said making me laugh. Part of me was surprised she learned that but not so much. She was extremely attentive when it came to my baby.
Our baby.
"What was his name, again?"
"Kaicobra."
"A snake at that! My poor baby man." We laughed. I felt her eyes trail over me as I walked around the room getting myself ready. Her gaze still has an effect on me.
"You really going out with this Ryan girl?"
"You still married to Kehlani?" I looked at her as I placed my earring in my ear. She came up behind me and stood right so that she was towering over me.
"Oh I forgot to tell you, She signed the divorce papers." Hearing that made my heart quicken. My body filled with excitement. Suddenly, I had the urge to stay here with Onika and Kaiden.
